00:00The people that I was working with were more criminal than the people I was arresting every day.
00:25I was sexually assaulted by a classmate in the academy.
00:30And they didn't do anything about it.
00:34The station was full of pornography.
00:38The government computers were full of pornography.
00:40You know, I routinely had used condoms in my mail drawer at work.
00:45On top of that, then there was the illegal stuff,
00:47like there were agents smuggling drugs in border patrol vehicles.
00:51Later on, I found out the boss of the station was the
00:55one that was organizing the smuggling of drugs through Campo.
01:00I learned the racist terms for migrants from my law instructor, who was a white guy from Texas.
01:19But nobody in the border patrol really considers those terms to be racist.
01:23They just consider them to be terms that we use.
01:27But they are racist.
01:30I noticed before I left that a lot of those anti-immigrant hate groups were
01:49kind of hanging around on the border, the militias and so forth.
01:53And they're horribly racist.
01:55And then before you know it, these groups are inviting the union presidents
02:00and vice presidents to come and speak at their conferences.
02:05Then on the union website, where the agents go to get information,
02:10they have links to those hate groups.
02:13And these hate groups are labeled as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
02:17It's not me labeling them as a hate group.
02:19That's the consensus.
02:25And I have never seen anything like this.
02:27I've never seen somebody come out of custody in this bad a shape.
02:31They slept in the mud and on the dirt because they didn't have mattresses.
02:36And they were given, for meals, they were given two pieces of moldy bread
02:41and a frozen piece of ham for every meal.
02:44They, their hair is covered in lice.
02:49A lot of the adults have scabies.
02:51And so many people have the flu to the point of needing hospitalization
02:56because they're so dehydrated.
02:58The Border Patrol is lying to everybody and to the public.
03:02And for the president to sit there and say, well, if they don't like the conditions,
03:05they just shouldn't come, that's not acceptable.
03:08So that's not the answer.
03:10I think this is one of those times where you either speak the truth
03:17or you're going to go down in history on the wrong side.
03:21And I don't want to be on the wrong side.
03:31I don't want to be on the wrong side.
