00:00I don't believe I would have ever considered it because when I see people
00:14surfing, in my head I see like a white girl with blonde hair that's super skinny.
00:30What I've learned about myself through surfing is that I don't give up easily.
00:37And one of the values that they have in City Surf Project are respect for nature,
00:42personal growth and perseverance because you fall off the board one time doesn't
00:46mean it's all over you just get back on it and get get ready to do it again.
01:00Surfing requires a lot of ambition.
01:23Getting into the water is definitely something I feel like not everybody but
01:27most people are scared of just because the ocean can sometimes be but like they
01:32can it can betray you. By that I mean like you never know when a wave hits you
01:38and you're like washed out.
01:47Before like I got into this program and I knew about surfing you know through
01:52movies through all social media and all that you never thought I would see
01:55myself surf one day.
02:11Waiting for a wave and then that sense of just waiting you're filled with so
02:16much calmness you feel so relaxed it's like all your problems just drift away
02:20in the ocean.
