Should dogs be allowed on Sheffield's trams?
Transcript
00:00Do you think dogs should be allowed on Sheffield's trams?
00:04I don't see why dogs cause an issue on the trams.
00:07When I've been on them they haven't caused any problems.
00:10Obviously there are certain issues where owners may not be in control of their dogs and that causes an issue
00:14but I think that's a different problem and in general we shouldn't punish everyone
00:18and it creates a better transport system if we allow dogs on the trams.
00:23If they're well behaved then they're on leads, yes.
00:27Obviously they should allow people to support dogs and guide them
00:31but other people's dogs are their companions and if they've got them under control
00:35and they keep them on a lead, feed them next to them, then yes.
00:40Yes, yes, definitely.
00:42Do you think it's a good thing?
00:44I do, yeah.
00:47If they're well behaved, why not?
00:50I came down from Hillsbury into town and there was a lady with a guide dog there.
00:58Yes, no problem.
01:00If they're well behaved, no problem.
01:04Yes, I do.
01:06As long as they're well behaved and the owners keep them under control
01:10then I don't see any reason why not.
01:12I think dogs are friends of humans and they're almost one of the family sometimes
01:20and I don't see why they can't go out.
01:22Of course the alternative is that people who can't take dogs onto trams,
01:26they can't use the trams.
01:29So I would support them doing it and especially I would support dogs
01:34such as those that lead the blind and so on to be on trams.
01:39I don't see a problem without it as long as the owners keep them under control
01:43and the dogs are well behaved.
01:45Yes.
