00:00Iftar is the breaking of the fast so what we do is during the month of
00:03Ramadan which is from one new moon to the next new moon we fast from sunrise
00:08to sunset at which point we have meal by mouth so no food, no water, no drink
00:13especially no coffee which is tough and we get through the day and then we at
00:17the end of the day we break our fast. Unfortunately for many students at
00:20Wollongong University, international students and non-international students
00:24they might not have family that they can share an iftar or breaking of the fast
00:27with so we provide that service here at Omar Mosque for refugees, uni students
00:32and all local community members who wish to come and break and have a meal with
00:37us at sunset every day during Ramadan.
