00:00The North Luzon Expressway was the target of a collision on Marilao Bridge on Friday, March 28.

00:07Yesterday, the MLEX started to attach the horizontal metal gear deck to the broken bridge.

00:13This is Isaiah Mira Fuentes of PTV in Balitang Pambansa.

00:19For the motorists, the destruction of the Marilao Bridge was due to the fact that there was almost no traffic.

00:27The heavy flow of traffic was experienced on the North Luzon Expressway from Balintawaktol Plaza to Marilao.

00:36Since yesterday afternoon, only two lanes under the Marilao Bridge were used

00:42because the MLEX started to attach the horizontal metal gear deck after the Marilao Bridge was destroyed on March 19

00:50Due to the attachment of over-height trucks to the broken bridge,

00:54only 4.27 meters of the required height of the vehicle can pass through the MLEX.

01:00But the truck has a height of 4.9 meters.

01:04Only one lane of this bridge is used by the motorists.

01:08But according to the MLEX, they will try to fix it until 11 o'clock in the evening on Friday.

01:15Director Tiba told Secretary Vils Dizon that the bridge should be built within a week.

01:21We expect that the traffic will increase again because we experienced it on Friday night until Saturday night around 9 p.m.

01:35It continued until this morning.

01:39We experienced light traffic, but due to the closure of the additional lane,

01:44due to the replacement of the metal beam, the traffic will increase.

01:57From 12 p.m. yesterday, toffees are free in the northbound portion from Balintawaktol Plaza to Maycawayan Exit.

02:05For alternative routes to Bulacan, Pampanga,

02:09the MLEX allows motorists to pass through the MLEX Karuhatan Exit via MLEX Harbour Link.

02:15It is also possible to pass through the MLEX Paso de Blas Northbound Exit or MLEX Maycawayan Exit to MacArthur Highway

02:22and enter the MLEX in the city of Victoria or MLEX Bukaw Interchange.

02:27For motorists returning from Metro Manila from Bulacan, Pampanga,

02:31it is possible to enter the MLEX Bukaway Interchange or Ciudad de Victoria Exit,

02:36pass through MacArthur Highway, and enter the MLEX Maycawayan Southbound.

02:42The extended MRT operation of the MRT-3 started last night.

02:46The MRT operation is extended for one hour.

02:49Every Monday to Friday, the MRT's travel time is longer.

02:53The North Avenue Station used to be closed at 9.25 p.m.

02:57But with the new schedule, it is now 10.25 p.m.

03:00When it comes to Taft Avenue Station, it is now 11.04 p.m.

03:05We will start, but we will assess.

03:08But I think we will maintain that to one hour, plus one hour at night.

03:15We will see the effect of that on maintenance,

03:19but based on our conversation with our maintenance operator,

03:24it looks like it will be possible.

03:26So we will keep that as is.

03:28The MRT-3 promised that they will add a train every rush hour.
