00:00Our next speaker is a multimedia entertainment mogul and a household name through a successful
00:07career that includes music, television, film, theater, retail, and hospitality.
00:12This Country Music Hall of Famer has more than 50 award wins under her belt.
00:17She has been a coach on The Voice for three seasons and also stars and executive produces
00:23the NBC sitcom Happy's Place, which was just picked up for a second season.
00:28Congratulations.
00:29Please welcome fellow Walk of Famer, Reba McIntyre.
00:41The first time I remember meeting you was at the ACMs early in the 90s when you were
00:49nominated for a new female vocalist.
00:52And after the award show, we went to the party and I sat, I came by and sat with you and
00:57your mom and you had on a silver dress and I sat there with you and I thought, I love
01:04her already.
01:05She's sitting with her mom because my mom and I were real close, just like you and your
01:08mom and your dry wit and sense of humor won my heart.
01:15And I said, where are you from?
01:16She said, Georgia.
01:17And I said, okay, I like you already.
01:19Then you were funny.
01:20And then the years just kept going by and we got to hang out and be with each other.
01:26We've gotten to sing together and have dinners together.
01:29You taught me a lot about cooking on your cooking show.
01:33And she was like, oh, poor little Reba.
01:38I'm going to help her learn how to cook.
01:41And I appreciated that more than you know.
01:43But our friendship throughout the years means the world to me because girls out on the road
01:48need a buddy.
01:50And we are in the country music business where girls stick together.
01:55We have fun together.
01:57We complain and gripe to each other because you can't do that with anybody else that nobody
02:03else understands.
02:05So congratulations on this today.
02:07I'm thrilled to pieces for you.
02:10And it is my turn to cook at the house when all of we have our little girl gathering.
02:15So y'all bring food and help me out, okay?
02:19I love you with all my heart.
02:21Congratulations.
02:33I'll bring ice tea.
02:34Okay.
