00:00I've never been on a trip with so much adventure packed into each day.
00:30The trip was effortless. We could focus on having fun, on paddle boarding, enjoying the animals.
00:42Yeah, so I was pretty much a beginner paddle boarder before this trip.
00:47I think everybody was at a similar level, which was great.
00:49I think about all the paddling that we did this week and there's just nowhere else we could go and be that close and experience it from, you know, one of the favorite ways we like to be outdoors and stay active.
01:09So it kind of brought everything together that we love.
01:19I think the way Southern Explorations had set up this travel package, I mean, everything was taken care of from the time we arrived at the airport, getting the rides and coming up with the buses, planning out the meals and everything.
01:40I mean, it was absolutely perfect because that was one less thing for us to worry about.
01:43That way we could, you know, spend all our energy on truly enjoying the experience.
01:47What stood out most for me about the water was the wall. It was 400 feet high and it goes straight down into the water.
01:55So you have an opportunity to, when snorkeling, look down into the abyss and you really don't know what's down there.
02:01So your imagination can kind of run on you a little bit.
02:06I think the snorkeling was a perfect complement to the paddle boarding, just to see the sea life.
02:10But then I think, you know, all of the adventure walking, all the biking tour, you know, perfect way to see the country. There's so much here in the Galapagos.
02:16Adding in hiking as well up to the Sierra Negra volcano was really incredible.
02:32Getting to the crater, the whole landscape looked like a land before time. If a dinosaur popped up, it just looked like it was normal.
02:46I really liked the bike ride that we did. I think it's probably my favorite trip all the way up to that hike to the wall of tears.
03:00Riding back at night in the dark on the white beach, that was really cool.
03:04The majestic beauty of some of the things we've seen and getting to paddle board in so many different areas and be up close with the wildlife.
03:23I feel like paddle boarding allowed you to be able to get views that you wouldn't otherwise be able to get.
03:29The Galapagos would be quite unique because when you get to think about it, you find animals that are only found in the Galapagos.
03:35For example, you get giant tortoises and the marine iguanas that only happen to be here.
03:50I feel like we really got to experience the ecosystem.
03:53I saw the sharks and then I happened to see an injured sea lion who had the bites of a shark attack on its back.
04:00They were obviously very recent and it kind of put you right in there with the animals.
04:06They know the hot spots. They know the unique areas that maybe if you were coming without a tour that you would totally miss.
04:14I was so impressed with the way our group kind of gelled together from the very beginning.
04:19Everybody was just so friendly and ready for the adventure.
04:24So there were some genuine conversations and I think through it, some genuine friendships too.
04:30I don't think we could have gotten any luckier with the group that we got to travel with. We just had a really good time together.
04:36It has been a trip of a lifetime.
