00:00Let's cross now to Gaza City and speak to journalist Shrouk Al-Aila. Hello to you, Shrouk.
00:06A very, very deadly and bloody week in the enclave of Gaza this week. What's the latest?
00:14Well, today hits the seventh day of resuming the war in Gaza Strip and the second wave of killing.
00:21Today also hits the day that the number of people who got killed during this genocide,
00:31like almost 50,000 people have been killed so far. You have to know that most, like,
00:38there are a very huge number, like almost 10,000, plus 10,000 people who are not even,
00:47they are missing, whether they are under the rubble or they are nowhere. Nobody knows whether
00:51they are captived in the Israeli jails or they are killed somewhere, and people were unable to
00:59reach that areas. The last night witnessed a very deadly attack, especially on Khan Younis and
01:07the southern part of the Gaza Strip. This deadly attack caused almost
01:1550 got killed and also hundreds of people who got injured. But in the past hours, we have witnessed
01:23a military operation in Rafah, and this is the first time in the resuming of this war to witness,
01:31you know, getting more inside the city. The Israeli soldier suddenly arrived in the middle
01:38of the city, of the Rafah city, which is full of people, and forced them to evacuate their homes
01:45without, on foot, without carrying anything. The army, let me say, designed a street for them to
01:55walk through, and this street goes directly to Khan Younis, which is in the north part of the
02:02Rafah. And so far we have receiving from witnesses there in Rafah that there are lots of people who
02:12are surrounded by soldiers in their homes and not able to evacuate their homes as well. And also,
02:17there are lots of people who got killed in the streets, and nobody's able to rescue them.
02:23The situation in Rafah is so tense, and it's not getting its, let me say, its attention in the
02:30media because things get more escalated in the past hours. No direct numbers of the casualties
02:37so far, and what we have so far is just the witnesses in that area. And also the attacks
02:45in Rafah, like one of the attacks hit one of the leaders of Hamas in a tent in Mawassi, and he is
02:57one of the leaders of Hamas who got immediately killed along with his wife. Going to the north,
03:05there are more evacuation orders in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, in Beit Hanoun and Beit
03:10Lahya as well. Bearing in mind, and there is more evacuation orders in the eastern,
03:15in the western side of Gaza Strip, which is the Shijaria area as well. Those areas are witnessing
03:23heavy attacks from our, also the, what now Israel is separating the north and the south
03:35by using the Netzerim Corridor. Netzerim Corridor is totally under the Israeli control
03:42till this moment, and the movement there is super risky. It puts your life in risk
03:47just to go there. According to the army, they are trying to expand the area to provide more protection
03:58to the army there in this area, in the Netzerim area. We keep hearing lots of explosions that
04:04comes from that area. That means that the army is operating there and trying to bomb whatever
04:12list of the homes there or the buildings. As we received also, the army published a video of a
04:20college, which is the medicine college that belongs to the Islamic University of the Gaza Strip.
04:27This college locates somehow in the Netzerim Corridor, and the army published a video
04:35exploding this college. The army now is working on expanding more the defense area. According to
04:45them, same goes to the northern part in Beth Hanouna as well. They are trying to expand that
04:51defense area that is somehow surrounding to the bordering area between Gaza and the occupied
05:00territories and the so-called Israel. Yes. Sharukh, thank you very much. Sharukh
05:04al-Aila reporting there after those deadly strikes in Hanounis.
