01:37How can we use technology to be able to counter this problem?

01:41Like the Philippine Peso Bills,

01:43a hand-woven textile can also be identified under UV light,

01:46whether it is authentic or not,

01:50using their special luminescent colorant.

01:53Those are materials called phosphors.

01:56When you shine light on them,

01:58they emit a certain wavelength of light.

02:00It's not just about copying.

02:03We know the specificity of that wavelength,

02:06and we will not reveal what wavelength is assigned.

02:09It has a range.

02:10So if you say 425,

02:12and I assign that to a weaver,

02:15I should be able to see that he is the only one using that color.

02:18That is its specificity.
