00:00A young woman who was killed and raped by a trolley driver in Camarines Sur was caught red-handed.
00:08Niko Wahe was caught red-handed.
00:14In the pictures, the family of 10-year-old Juris can see her sweet smile.
00:20She was found dead, without a body to be buried,
00:24and the fruit was broken in the sugary part of Barangay Tanawan, Lupi, Camarines Sur.
00:28According to the police, Juris was accompanied by her grandmother to the vegetable market yesterday.
00:33The victim, allegedly, went missing in the morning,
00:40and then her grandmother sought assistance from the barangay officials to find her.
00:48They were able to get a copy of the CCTV footage
00:52where Juris was seen with a trolley driver in the area.
00:56According to the family, they often use the trolley driver as a driver when they go shopping.
01:01When confronted, they all refused.
01:04But it didn't take long for them to confess and they were told where the child was taken.
01:08We found out that the child's head was bleeding.
01:15It looked like it was hit by some hard object.
01:18Then the suspect said that he was hit by a rock.
01:24The police also found out that the victim was accompanied.
01:27Although they will file a complaint of rape with homicide,
01:31the suspect and the family of the victim have not been released yet.
01:34For GMA Integrated News, Nico Juahe, Tutok, 24 Hours.
01:40He is Rodrigo Rua Duterte.
01:50The former President Rodrigo Duterte is planning to form a legal team
01:55and to take action before he returns to the pre-trial chamber 1 of the International Criminal Court in September.
02:01For the latest in the Netherlands, live on Tutok, Mary Zumali.
02:07Evan, I am Morgan again.
02:09From here in The Hague, the Netherlands,
02:11even in the middle of the protests,
02:14from here in The Hague to the Philippines,
02:17the former President Rodrigo Duterte is calling on his supporters
02:21while they are still planning a legal campaign
02:26that will be conducted by their camp
02:29for the complaint of crimes against humanity
02:33by the former President Duterte in the International Criminal Court.
02:40Yesterday, the supporters of the former President Rodrigo Duterte
02:45gathered in the International Gay Monument in the Loon Van Rigan and Gorbatshov
02:49in The Hague, the Netherlands, from different parts of Europe.
02:52One day after his first appearance in the pre-trial hearing in the International Criminal Court or ICC,
02:58the protests were led by Attorney Harry Roque and Senator Robin Hood Padilla.
03:03As of now, the former Executive Secretary Salvador Medealdea
03:07is the only formal standing lawyer of the former President.
03:10But Roque said that he already talked to the British-Israeli lawyer, Nicholas Kaufman,
03:14who is one of the people who submitted their names to the ICC to become Duterte's counsel.
03:19The group will announce that we will have a hearing tomorrow.
03:23I have confirmed who the counsel is.
03:25The only one who is recognized by the government is Attorney Bingbong Medealdea.
03:29I don't know because until now, we still don't have permission to enter the detention facility.
03:34But we talked to Attorney Kaufman and we are still waiting.
03:39According to the website of Kaufman's law firm,
03:41he became the prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
03:46and the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
03:48Roque said that they plan to question the jurisdiction of the ICC
03:53before the next hearing is scheduled for September 23.
03:56VP Sara and I have been preparing for a year.
04:01Everything that we expected to happen, in fact, happened.
04:04So we have a contingency for everything that has happened.
04:07On September 23, the confirmation of charges hearing was scheduled
04:11to find out if there is sufficient evidence
04:13that shows that there are substantial grounds that the accusations were made by the suspect.
04:17According to the arrest warrant of the ICC to Duterte,
04:20there are reasonable grounds to believe that Duterte is responsible
04:23as an indirect co-perpetrator for the crimes against humanity of the former President Duterte.
04:29According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency,
04:31more than 6,000 people were killed during the war against drugs by Duterte.
04:35According to the Commission on Human Rights, it reached 27,000.
04:39More than 8,000 according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
04:44In the complaint filed against Duterte in the ICC pretrial chamber,
04:47it was found that less than 24 people were killed between 2016 and 2019
04:53during the war on drugs by the Duterte administration.
04:55And less than 17 people were killed between 2011 and 2016 by the Davao Death Squad.
05:01According to one of the five Philippine ICC accredited lawyers,
05:05Attorney Joel Ruiz Butuyan,
05:07the purpose of the ICC trial was not to prove all the murders.
05:11He just needed to show the prosecution
05:14if the killing as a solution to illegal drugs has been systematic and done by the police
05:19and if the murders will be justified.
05:22It will be widespread and systematic.
05:24They will present sample incidents
05:28that will prove that the killing as a solution to illegal drugs was done by the police.
05:34The prosecutor will give to former President Duterte
05:37the evidence that will be used against him in the trial.
05:41It's a great privilege for him because we don't have that here in the Philippines.
05:45The prosecutor is very fair in the trial.
05:48Roque said that he did not leave the Netherlands when former President Duterte was not with him.
05:53For now, Vice President Sara Duterte was given permission to visit the former president.
05:59Roque said that Duterte's health is not good.
06:02VP Sara said that her father is not allowed to see the doctor.
06:07But it looks like she's okay.
06:09Even though we know that her appearance in the trial
06:12as one of her spokespersons, looks weak.
06:16And I also noticed that her speech looks like her voice is cracking.
06:22And it looks like it's hard of hearing
06:25because there were a few instances where she repeated the question.
06:30Ivana Katadang, the current senator of Roque, Vice President Sara Duterte
06:35and other members of her camp
06:38will be on the list of former President Duterte's legal team.
06:42Meanwhile, the entire Duterte family in the Philippines
06:45is just waiting for their Schengen Visa
06:48so that they can also come here to The Hague
06:52and visit former President Rodrigo Duterte, especially since it's his birthday on March 28.
06:57And that's the latest news from The Hague, The Netherlands.
07:00Back to you, Ivan.
07:02Thank you very much, Marie Zumali.
