00:00Drenching downpours amid this severe weather outbreak are triggering renewed flooding in
00:04some areas of the central and southeastern states. AccuWeather's Bill Waddell is live in
00:09Dodge City, Alabama. Far cry from Dodge City, Kansas. With the situation there,
00:14Bill. Bill, very, very wet. What kinds of things are you experiencing there?
00:19Hey, Jeff. Yeah, definitely wet. A lot of lightning coming down. We just pulled over and
00:24up in that area we just heard tornado sirens going off again. And when you look
00:28at the radar, we have another tornado warning not too far away from that area.
00:34So we were in this area looking for some damage reports, seeing some trees that may have come down
00:38and again just a fluid situation while we're dealing with these active tornado warnings
00:43in northern Alabama. Now take a look at the video, Justin, into AccuWeather. This is up in the
00:47Decatur, Alabama area. We've been talking about this heavy rain, drenching downpours. Unfortunately,
00:53drivers appear to be hydroplaning. This looks like yet another case. You could see where that car
00:58lost control. It looks like it hit the guardrail and actually spun around, ripped the wheel right
01:02off. There's also fire crews out responding and clearing trees that have come down along the side
01:07of I-65. But again, north of us, we have another active tornado warning. It looks like that storm
01:13is going to be passing the highway. So Jeff, we're going to turn around and check out that storm
01:19from a safe distance. Unfortunately, there is a good amount of traffic here on I-65, Jeff.
01:25With days of advance warning with this storm, we've been telling people this is a dangerous
01:29situation. Unfortunately, it's a little bit disheartening to see how many people are out
01:33on the roads right now. And I do want to mention the Sipsi area of Alabama. We are seeing reports
01:38coming in from first responders of trees possibly down onto homes where these storms, these tornadic
01:44storms have passed through. So again, a lot happening here in Alabama, dealing with rain,
01:48lightning, and the tornado threats continuing right now. All right. Well, we appreciate that
01:53report there, Bill. We've been tracking some of these storms. And here we have the view in
01:57Belmont, North Carolina, where we're getting ready for some severe weather and wind and rain tomorrow.
