00:15to work together for peace. We can make these changes. And we must.

00:30Based on this knowledge of Georgians, North and South, rural and urban, liberal and conservative,

00:59I say to you, quite frankly, that the time for racial discrimination is over. No poor, rural,

01:10weak, or black person should ever have to bear the additional burden of being deprived of the

01:18opportunity of an education, a job, or simple justice. It's time for us to get together to

01:31correct our mistakes, to answer difficult questions, and to make our nation great.

01:35We continue to face a grave situation in Iran where our embassy has been seized and more than

01:4760 American citizens continue to be held as hostages. The energy crisis is real. It is

01:56worldwide. It is a clear and present danger to our nation. In the end, peace can be won only if

02:16we have pursued it. Well, I'm hoping that I will live longer than the last guinea worm. I think right

02:42now we have 11 cases. We started out with 3.6 million cases. Former President Jimmy Carter has

02:50landed in North Korea to secure the release of a U.S. national. For the past 35 years, he has

02:59dedicated his life to Habitat for Humanity, helping build or renovate more than 4,200 homes in 14

03:04countries. The bond of our common humanity is stronger than the divisiveness of our fears and

03:15prejudices.
