00:00A courtesy call was made to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malacanang by some foreign officials.

00:05Aside from this, the President also met with some new officials of the government.

00:13In the continued advance of the Philippines in the field of diplomacy and administration,

00:17President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:20welcomed Slovenian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fahon in Malacanang.

00:26The President expressed his gratitude to Vice Prime Minister Fahon

00:30for bringing the first embassy of Slovenia in Southeast Asia, particularly in Manila.

00:35He said that it will serve as a pathway for deeper cooperation between the two countries,

00:40particularly in the field of diplomacy and administration.

00:43The two officials also discussed the Loss and Damage Fund,

00:46where the Philippines was chosen as a board.

00:49It is said to be a big thing for Slovenia and the Philippines,

00:52particularly in terms of the effects of climate change.

00:57Ambassador Eduardo Antonio Yang Virzi was also welcomed by the President

01:00as the new body of Panama in the Philippines.

01:03The President also gave the established position of the Philippines and Panama

01:07as an important center of diplomacy and maritime,

01:10and he expects the strengthening of their relationship

01:13for the well-being of their citizens.

01:17Attorney Antonio Ciriles was also welcomed by the President as Presidential Advisor on Mindanao Concerns.

01:24Ciriles has extensive experience in serving the public as a former governor of Zamboanga del Sur,

01:30a congressman, and a member of the DNR.

01:32His experience is expected to be important

01:35in the continued efforts of the administration to bring real progress to Mindanao.

01:41He was also formally appointed as the Interim Chief Minister of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority,

01:46Abdul Rauf Makakwa.

01:48After his oath-taking,

01:50the President believes that Makakwa will continue the progress established by the government in BARMM.

01:56In addition to the executive branch,

01:58Makakwa came to a critical period of leadership

02:01while the region is preparing for the first parliamentary elections.
