00:30Hazrat Ali said, when I want to talk to my Lord, I pray.
00:35I feel that I am talking to my Lord.
00:38That is, I am addressing my Lord.
00:41This is the purpose of prayer.
00:43And when I want my Lord to address me,
00:46to talk to me,
00:48then I read the Quran.
00:50Because it is the word of the Lord.
00:52I keep reading.
00:53I feel that the Lord is addressing me.
00:55He is speaking to me.
00:57This word is speaking to you.
00:59There are many questions for you.
01:01There are many answers for you.
01:03There are many advices for you.
01:06There are many prophecies for you.
01:08There are many promises for you.
01:10The need of this matter is that it should be read.
01:12It should be pondered over.
01:13It should be acted upon.
01:15And our world and the hereafter should be taken care of.
01:17The great and respected scholars of the country of Pakistan.
01:21Mufti Muhammad Sohail Raza Amjaddi Sahib.
01:23And Prof. Dr. Atif Aslam Rao Sahib.
01:25Please come with us.
01:26I will start, Mufti Sahib.
01:27As per the tradition,
01:29tell us, the Quran is a divine book.
01:32Can this be proven at least?
01:47Look, Salman Bhai,
01:48the introduction you gave was very beautiful.
01:52And the question is very important.
01:55Is its revelation proven rationally or not?
02:00I will give you a few examples.
02:04First of all,
02:06the Quran is rationally proven
02:11that it is a divine book.
02:13It is revealed from Allah.
02:16It is not a human word.
02:18There are many examples.
02:21Allah has challenged humans.
02:27In Surah Asrah, verse number 88,
02:37You say that this is the word of humans.
02:40Allah said to me that
02:42you humans and all the jinns
02:45should gather together
02:47and support each other.
02:50Bring an example of this Quran.
02:52Bring it.
02:53Then Allah lightened the challenge.
02:56In Surah Hud, verse number 13,
03:03You can't bring the Quran.
03:05Do one thing,
03:06bring ten Surahs.
03:08Then Allah lightened the challenge.
03:12Do one thing,
03:13in Surah Baqarah, verse number 23,
03:21Bring one Surah.
03:23Then Allah lightened the challenge.
03:25In Surah Tur, verse number 34,
03:33Do one thing,
03:37Bring one verse.
03:39Today, more or less,
03:41fourteen and a half hundred years have passed.
03:44But not just one verse,
03:46Allah couldn't bring it as a part of one verse.
03:49This is a logical proof.
03:52No one accepted the challenge of the Quran.
03:57No one could bring its equivalent as a verse.
04:02This proves that
04:04this is another divine book.
04:10Why don't they ponder in the Quran?
04:17If it was from someone else,
04:19from a human being,
04:21then there would be opposition.
04:23The verses would be different.
04:26But this is from Allah.
04:28That's why there is no contradiction.
04:30And then I say here,
04:32that many people have tried
04:34to bring its equivalent.
04:36For example, Ibn Mukanna.
04:38If you look at the Quran
04:40from the perspective of corruption,
04:42then in that era,
04:45there were great leaders.
04:48But everyone was surprised.
04:50Everyone was worried
04:52that its equivalent couldn't be brought.
04:54When Waleed bin Mughaira
04:56came to Prophet Muhammad,
04:58he said,
05:00don't fight with him.
05:02The words he is saying,
05:04I have not heard these words anywhere.
05:06Its sweetness is more than honey.
05:09Its spirituality is more than the sea.
05:12So, don't fight with him.
05:14These are the words
05:16I have not heard anywhere.
05:18It is not magic,
05:20it is not magic,
05:22these are words taken from humans.
05:24Ibn Mukanna,
05:26he was a great scholar.
05:28He tried to bring its equivalent.
05:30When he heard this verse
05:43When she heard this, she heard it from a boy's mouth.
05:46He threw the pen, in fact, he broke it.
05:48He said that this is not a man's pen.
05:50It is a human's pen.
05:52He cannot compete with it.
05:54It is not my work, it is a man's work.
05:56وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْحَوَىٰ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيُّ يُحَىٰ
06:11We have joined the discussion.
06:13Mufti Hassan Abid Niazi has come at the right time.
06:18It was time for your question.
06:20I was thinking that your question was in my mind.
06:24If we see some verses of the Quran from the scientific point of view,
06:34then what can be explained in this case?
06:39بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
07:09The Qur'an is a divine revelation.
07:21The divine revelation cannot be contrary to reason.
07:23Reason is also the creation of Allah.
07:25There is no verse of the Qur'an that is contrary to reason.
07:29It will not be, nor can it be.
07:31This is a definite thing.
07:33It cannot be contrary to reason.
07:35There is another aspect.
07:37One is being contrary to reason,
07:39and the other is being astounded by reason.
07:43We call this stunning, mind-blowing.
07:46There are many verses of the Qur'an that are astounding, mind-blowing.
07:55There are many things.
07:57But there is nothing contrary to reason.
08:00And if you feel that this verse is contrary to reason,
08:06then the one who thinks will be seen.
08:09Who is he who thinks and understands?
08:11And what is the limit of his reason?
08:13Reason is human reason.
08:15Human reason is limited.
08:17Human reason also goes through stages of development.
08:20The thing that is contrary to reason today,
08:23in the next few years,
08:25Earlier we used to say centuries,
08:27but now in a few years,
08:29there is so much progress,
08:31so much change,
08:33and so many views,
08:35that in a few years,
08:37or in a few months,
08:39the thing that seemed contrary to reason,
08:42comes in front of you.
08:44It comes into existence.
08:46So the limit of reason is already limited.
08:49That is why Iqbal said,
08:51This light is the light of the path,
08:53it is not the destination.
08:55It is not the destination.
08:57The second thing,
08:59the Quran also invites us to use reason.
09:01If there were things contrary to reason,
09:03then why would the Quran invite us to use reason?
09:05If the Quran says,
09:07Do you not use reason?
09:09If the Quran says,
09:11Do you not use reason?
09:13Why don't you use reason?
09:15So when the Quran says to use reason,
09:17the Quran itself is saying it.
09:19So if the Quran is inviting us to use reason,
09:23then how can there be anything contrary to reason?
09:26And why would it invite us to use reason?
09:30So the Quran neither invites us to use reason,
09:33nor does it say anything contrary to reason.
09:35Yes, the domain of human reason is human,
09:37and it is limited.
09:39Now let's come to science.
09:41As far as science is concerned,
09:43there is proven fact in science,
09:45and there are theories.
09:47There is nothing to worry about,
09:49if the science is contrary to a scientific theory.
09:51Theories keep changing.
09:53Human knowledge is dependent on experiences and observations.
09:55Experiences change.
09:57Observations change.
09:5910 years later, 20 years later,
10:01the theory changes.
10:03Even if the theory is contrary,
10:05there is no problem with the Quran.
10:07As far as proven fact is concerned,
10:09there is no such thing
10:11that is contrary to the Quran,
10:13or that the Quran is contrary to it.
10:15And if a commentator has said something like this,
10:17then it is a misunderstanding.
10:19It is the understanding of the Quran.
10:21There can be a difference in understanding.
10:23It is possible that the understanding of the verse
10:25is wrong,
10:27and the correct understanding is different.
10:29There can be a difference in understanding,
10:31but a verse of the Quran is not
10:33contrary to a proven fact.
10:35It cannot be.
10:37Absolutely right, Mufti sahib.
10:39You have given a detailed and
10:41two-sided analysis,
10:43and there can be two kinds of views.
10:45The theory keeps changing,
10:47but the Quran cannot change.
10:49And people sometimes do not accept it.
10:51Yes, definitely.
10:53And after every few years,
10:55the thing for which
10:57the explanation is being given,
10:59the theory,
11:01the belief is being presented,
11:03they accept it after a while.
11:05No, no, this is correct, we were wrong.
11:07So everyone will be wrong.
11:09The Quran cannot be wrong.
11:11Welcome back.
11:13Ladies and gentlemen,
11:15it is your turn.
11:17We are discussing the greatness of the Quran
11:19with Dr. Atif Aslam Rao.
11:21Doctor sahib,
11:23is it possible to give a scientific explanation
11:25of the Quranic verses of the Qibla?
11:27If so, how?
11:29In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
11:31My Lord, open my heart and make it easy for me.
11:33Make my speech easy for me.
11:35First of all, we should remember
11:37that the Quran is the book of guidance.
11:39The subject of the Quran is man
11:41and how will man find
11:43the salvation of others?
11:45Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
11:47has given instructions in the Quran.
11:49But this is the Quran
11:51in which Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
11:53has mentioned the knowledge of the first and the last.
11:55And I often say that
11:57all the knowledge
11:59is in front of the Quran
12:01in front of the Quran.
12:03The knowledge that has been created
12:05that knowledge is related to
12:07human thinking.
12:09And Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
12:11has given man the abilities
12:13such as the sense of smell,
12:15and then there are modern means.
12:17Keeping these in mind,
12:19the knowledge that has been created
12:21has come in front of us.
12:23The Quran is the word of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
12:25Therefore, there can never be a comparison.
12:27But as far as
12:29the scientific knowledge is concerned,
12:31does the Quran endorse it?
12:33There is no other opinion
12:35that in the Quran,
12:37Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
12:39has mentioned those facts
12:41that are related to the universe.
12:43And Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
12:45Himself says that
12:47one should ponder over them.
12:49In the same way, Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
12:51has mentioned the number of calculations
12:53in the Quran.
12:55In some places,
12:57it is related to the creation of humanity,
12:59in other places,
13:01it is related to the creation of the universe.
13:03There are many other things
13:05that also produce results
13:07that help modern scientific research
13:09to prove itself.
13:11Therefore,
13:13there is no harm in interpreting
13:15all those verses
13:17that are related to modern science
13:19or those verses
13:21that prove modern science.
13:23This is a permissible aspect
13:25of the Quran,
13:27and people should not be affected
13:29by this.
13:31It is a great wealth
13:33to acquire them.
13:35But when they come to know
13:37that the research that you have done today,
13:39has been mentioned by the Quran
13:41more than 1500 years ago.
13:43In the same way,
13:45there are many books and researches
13:47that have come before us.
13:49The book of Maurice Bucaille is very famous.
13:51The Bible, the Quran, and science.
13:53The scientific facts have been mentioned in it.
13:55And the scientific facts have been mentioned
13:57in the verses of the Quran.
13:59This proves that
14:01all the facts in the Quran
14:03and the scientific researches
14:05that have come before us,
14:07the Quran does not deny any of them.
14:09The Quran endorses them.
14:11For example,
14:13look at the embryology.
14:15The Quran said that
14:17it kept three in the dark.
14:19Later, when the knowledge of embryology came,
14:21it proved that
14:23the uterus of a mother
14:25has three ovaries.
14:27These things are slowly coming forward.
14:29And they will keep coming.
14:31The Quran will continue to be studied.
14:33And through this,
14:35man will get his reasons
14:37for his ease and convenience.
14:39But at the same time,
14:41we should definitely pay attention
14:43to the fact that
14:45we should connect the scientific facts
14:47with the verses of the Quran
14:49which are proven by those verses.
14:51But we should not forcefully mold the Quran
14:53according to our will.
14:55For example, the Big Bang Theory
14:57which is not proven by the Quran.
14:59To present Surah Al-Falaq as a proof
15:01that there is a mention of Falaq in it
15:03and it means the destroyer.
15:05We should not try in this way
15:07to mold the verses of the Quran
15:09and prove the wrong views.
15:11The Quran is the book of Allah
15:13and this is the word of Allah.
15:15And this is enough for guidance
15:17until the Day of Judgment.
15:19What a good thing.
15:21Mold yourself with the Quran.
15:23Mold yourself with the Quran.
15:25There is no need to make the Quran flexible.
15:27It is already so flexible.
15:29And it provides you with
15:31so much ease and convenience.
15:33The Quran says to ponder over it.
15:35If you ponder over it,
15:37there will be scientific interpretations
15:39and explanations.
15:41There is another claim of the Quran.
15:43The Quran claims that
15:45there is a mention of every dry thing in it.
15:47So how do you see the explanation
15:49of this claim?
15:51The Quran says
15:53that there is no dry thing
15:55that is not mentioned
15:57in the Quran.
16:01The topic of the Quran
16:03is the topic of guidance.
16:07It has been revealed for guidance
16:09and it has been revealed
16:11for the guidance of man.
16:13It is the book of guidance.
16:15But if you look at it,
16:17Allah has repeatedly
16:19invited us to ponder over it.
16:23He has mentioned the heavens and the earth
16:25and the things between them.
16:27He has mentioned different sciences.
16:29So it is the truth of the Quran
16:31that whatever has been mentioned,
16:33if you look at it,
16:35there is guidance in it.
16:37There is encouragement and discouragement in it.
16:39There is promise and promise in it.
16:41There are stories in it.
16:43In the past,
16:45there are incidents
16:47in the Quran.
16:49And there is no difference
16:51between them.
16:53They are true incidents.
16:55And then,
16:57the incidents of the future
16:59that have not happened yet,
17:01the Quran has also mentioned them.
17:03And the Quran
17:05has prophesied
17:07from any perspective
17:09that it is happening.
17:11Now I will give you
17:13some examples.
17:15O beloved,
17:17when it comes to the transfiguration of the Qibla,
17:19the polytheists,
17:21the Jews and the Christians
17:23will object.
17:25These fools will object
17:27as to what has changed it.
17:29When the transfiguration of the Qibla happened,
17:31they should not have objected.
17:33But when the Quran said it,
17:35they had to object
17:37in the future.
17:39And they did.
17:41And they objected.
17:43And they objected.
17:45And then,
17:47they say that they are the beloved of Allah.
17:49If they are the beloved of Allah,
17:51then they should wish for death.
17:53They should wish for the meeting of Allah.
17:55The Quran says,
17:57they will never wish for it.
17:59No one will rise up and say
18:01that I wish for the meeting of Allah.
18:03I wish for death.
18:05But no one has wished for death
18:07in such a way
18:09that they wish for the meeting of Allah
18:11and that they wish for the Book of Allah.
18:13A Muslim can wish for it.
18:15But no non-Muslim
18:17can wish for it.
18:19That's why
18:21we have a great example.
18:29Two rivers meet.
18:31Between the two,
18:33there is a veil.
18:35You see,
18:371400 years ago,
18:39the Quran is talking about it.
18:41Some time ago,
18:43a scientist named Kostiv
18:45discovered it
18:47at the place of Jabral.
18:49There are two rivers.
18:51One is salty and the other is sweet.
18:53Both have different colors.
18:55But both are not
18:57meeting each other.
18:59The salty one is not going to the sweet one.
19:01The sweet one is not going to the salty one.
19:03And both are moving like this.
19:05It is amazing that
19:07the thing that he discovered
19:09with so much difficulty,
19:11the Quran has told it 1400 years ago.
19:13So it is said that he became a Muslim.
19:15Other than this,
19:17there are so many examples.
19:19Whatever the Quran said,
19:21Hazrat Maulana Ali says,
19:23you have a Jew,
19:25he said that you say that
19:27there is everything in the Quran.
19:29So tell me that my beard is small
19:31and yours is big.
