00:00Secretary of State Rubio is heading to Saudi Arabia more or less as we speak.
00:05President Trump's saying he expects some good results to come out of tomorrow's
00:10talks with the Ukrainian side. I mean overall do you think it's fair to say
00:15the mood ahead of these talks is fairly optimistic?
00:20Absolutely. Look I think the administration, the Trump administration is optimistic going into this
00:25meeting. I think they're probably optimistic going into the last one.
00:28Obviously it was not the meeting that they thought they're gonna have with
00:32respect to that meeting with President Zelensky and President Trump in the
00:34Oval Office last time. But this is a different time, different place now and
00:38right now I think it's all about getting this commercial economic deal signed.
00:43That's the first step here. I think getting that deal signed, which will be a
00:47good deal for the United States because it means that the United States could
00:49pay back the taxpayer funds that were paid towards this war. It's a good deal
00:54for Ukraine. It's gonna help Ukraine rebuild its economy. And then finally I
00:57think that this deal certainly in the eyes of the administration serves as a
01:01security guarantee in its own right and thus that will help to get to the next
01:05steps of this which of course are hoping to get to a ceasefire. And then
01:08ultimately getting both President Zelensky, President Putin, their teams
01:13themselves at the negotiating table to negotiate away what's necessary or I
01:18should say negotiate towards what is necessary to get this war ended.
