00:00My father, Sir David Amos, was not just a public servant, he was my protector, my guide,
00:09my greatest champion, and above all, my friend.
00:21His murder has left an unimaginable void in my family's life that no amount of time
00:29will ever heal. You don't just want justice in terms of the murder of him put in prison,
00:36but you want, in our case, the authorities and the government
00:40to be held accountable as they let my father down so badly.
00:46His death was entirely preventable, and where do you go from that? Grief is not just a sadness,
00:55it is an unrelenting, crushing, suffocating, unbearable weight, and since that awful day,
01:04I struggle to breathe, to sleep, I'm scared to be alone, I fear every noise outside,
01:12I'm worried that another one of my loved ones might be taken from me,
01:17I have to have therapy, I have to be on medication, and I've had to put my life on hold just to try
01:23and survive. I still wake up most mornings praying that this is just a nightmare,
01:32and that I will hear my dad's voice again and see his beautiful beaming smile, but I never will.
