00:00You've got this terrible combination of a president who just for some reason seems to support the tyrant,
00:07and I have some theories as to why, but I may have to wait for the 30-year-old to talk about them.
00:11Do you want to offer one now?
00:14Thank you. I think I'll probably resist, but I don't think it's too much of a stretch,
00:19and many of your listeners will already know because it's publicly reported that he's had previous
00:25both run-ins with Kiev unrelated to the war, and people may come to their own theories
00:31as to why he seemed to be in cahoots with Putin, who, after all, is a dictator
00:36who wants a completely different type of world to the one which has been constructed after the Second World War.
00:42And the irony of all of this, of course, is the country that's singly benefited the most from the post-war settlement
00:49has been the United States. The country that's benefited most from free trade has been the United States,
00:54and the country that's going to suffer most, according to the International Munchie Fund,
00:59from all of this tariff nonsense is indeed the United States.
01:03So this is not in America's interest, and certainly not in Europe's, and certainly not in ours.
01:08As I say, we have to step up to the plate and make sure that we're spending on our own defence,
01:13otherwise we really don't have much room to complain.
