00:00:20Franchise around unfortunately for the Steelers Mike Tomlin seems to find a way to go nine and eight or ten and seven every single season

00:00:27So if you're a fan and you want to watch them win games, that's pretty cool

00:00:30But if you want to win a Super Bowl something's got to change today

00:00:33I'll be rebuilding the Pittsburgh Steelers and bringing them back to dynasty status head coach

00:00:39Miss Johnson is ready to turn this team around I can lie to you every time I rebuild a team

00:00:43I have this undying urge to literally trade every player over the age of 29

00:00:48But I got to stop myself from doing that because Cam Hayward is a true Pittsburgh Steeler and so is TJ

00:00:53I can't just unload these guys also to be totally honest

00:00:57I've seen a lot of franchises where TJ Watt plays for like seven more years

00:01:00So here's definitely one of the highlights to this team TJ Watts like one of the best head rushers in the game

00:01:06Yes, he's gonna regress a little bit, but I really don't I don't want this to be like a trade TJ

00:01:10Watt trade Cameron Hayward rebuild a really exciting guy in this team is Alex Highsmith Alex

00:01:15Highsmith is an 89 overall speed rusher 27 years old at

00:01:18Superstar if we can put him in the right position to get a lot of sacks early. He'll easily get superstar expected

00:01:24So I just got to make sure he's all set. I'm giving him no outsiders inside stuff and under pressure

00:01:29Also, if you're gonna do a Steelers rebuild, how are you not excited about George Pickens? I love George Pickens

00:01:34He's only a star development, but I'm going to make sure that George Pickens is our number one target

00:01:40I don't care if we go Owen 17 or 17 and oh so long as George Pickens gets a ton of reps

00:01:44He's gonna be an 86 87 overall and a superstar at the end of the season

00:01:49I think George Pickens is a huge key to future success on this team the glaring issue though

00:01:54The Pittsburgh Steelers and it's kind of been their issue since Ben Roethlisberger left is a franchise quarterback

00:01:59They were floating around with randoms for years that they drafted Kenny Pickett

00:02:03Some people thought maybe Kenny Pickett was the future and then Kenny Pickett, you know played a full season and just struggled. That's okay

00:02:09Kenny Pickett was never really supposed to be this

00:02:11Generational quarterback and the other problem like I mentioned before is the Steelers are so good

00:02:16They never get a top-ten draft pick if the Steelers had gotten a top-ten draft pick anytime in the last five years

00:02:20They would have drafted. Hopefully that generational quarterback that they need instead. You've got mr

00:02:26Unlimited and Justin Fields Russell Wilson being on the latter end of his career and Justin Fields never truly

00:02:32Developing to where people would have liked I'm gonna be honest

00:02:35I kind of wish the Steelers this year continued to start Justin Fields

00:02:39I think Justin Fields still has a chance in the National Football League. It's obviously not looked good so far

00:02:44But like let's be real no quarterbacks look good on the Chicago Bears and while he was with the Steelers

00:02:49He looked pretty solid now that being said the problem Justin Fields is he's 25

00:02:53He's normal dev and he's a 73 overall virtually any quarterback that I draft in the upcoming draft is gonna be

00:03:00Between a 69 and 75 overall. They're probably gonna be stardev and they're gonna be younger

00:03:06Supporting my eggs in the Justin Fields basket doesn't make a whole lot of sense

00:03:10Unfortunately, I don't think either of these guys are the future for us

00:03:13What I'm gonna do this season is I'm gonna keep Russell Wilson as the starter for the entire season

00:03:17I'm gonna make sure that George Pickens gets as many reps as I can get him

00:03:20I'm gonna do the same thing with Najee Harris would love to see Najee Harris getting to superstar

00:03:24The only problem is there's very few playbooks that are gonna utilize the running back a ton and your wide receiver a ton

00:03:30So I kind of got a pick and I think I'm gonna pick George Pickens

00:03:33I like Friar Muth and I gotta say really exciting to have a good offensive line

00:03:38This is pretty rare like a good developing offensive line Frazier and Fitanu both rookies, dude

00:03:44Zack Frazier is an 82 overall hidden dev rookie. That's crazy. Dan Moore's not the best left tackle, but he's 25 years old

00:03:51So this offensive line is developing which is great

00:03:55That's usually something I have to pay a lot of attention to but not nearly as much on this one

00:03:59And the defense is honestly really good, too

00:04:01This is a big part of the reason that the Pittsburgh Steelers actually win games. Their defense is ridiculous

00:04:07What we're gonna notice very early on is Cam Hayward's gonna regress so fast TJ Watts gonna regress so fast

00:04:13We'd love to replace those guys got to continue to develop Highsmith. I

00:04:18Really like Peyton Wilson Peyton Wilson is very old for a rookie. He's a 24 year old rookie side of NC State

00:04:23But he's gonna be really good on this team is a past coverage middle linebacker

00:04:28Which is perfect here because all the pressure from this defense comes from your outside linebackers and that being said

00:04:35They do have Cam Hayward listed as a right end and he's 13 years in league 35 years old

00:04:40It's honestly really likely that he just retires after this season

00:04:43But I need him to be a D tackle not a right it Steelers defense is fun

00:04:46A lot of times I run a 4-3, but we're gonna continue to stick with the 3-4

00:04:51I feel like it's just so iconically Pittsburgh Steelers. So Cam Hayward's gonna be the sole D tackle

00:04:56He'll almost always be in applying pressure from the interior and then Alex Highsmith and TJ

00:05:01Watt will consistently be blitzing off the edges the only personnel change

00:05:04I'm gonna make I'm actually gonna start Peyton Wilson at MLB one and we're gonna move Patrick Queen to MLB to Patrick Queen's 25

00:05:11Years old he's gonna be great another one of my favorites on this lineup Joey Porter

00:05:15Like I never really thought about how young and developing the Steelers lineup is cuz the only guys I think of I think of like

00:05:21Russell Wilson and TJ Watt and Cameron Hayward all those guys are on the latter end of their career

00:05:25But there's a lot of good young players on this team. There's not much more we can do this season

00:05:29We just got to put George Pickens in a position to be successful

00:05:32And I mean frankly, I'd love to tank this season, but I don't really have control over that

00:05:40What are we running if I'm gonna be honest guys if you want your wide receiver to go off Los Angeles Rams is

00:05:46Completely broke. It's a zone run West Coast scheme, which is actually an 85% scheme fit for the Steelers

00:05:52Does work really well and then I'm gonna stick to the base 3-4 Mike Tomlin defense

00:05:57The only thing we have to make sure you do if you want your wide receiver to absolutely pop off

00:06:01Make sure that they're in either wide receiver 1 or wide receiver 2. I'm gonna be honest

00:06:06Sometimes it's a potshot which one of these wide receiver positions is better

00:06:09But the most important thing is slot wide receiver George Pickens is already our slot wide receiver

00:06:13So it's perfect for us. My rush left end is TJ Watt

00:06:16My rush right end is Alex Highsmith us all perfect rush to tackles cam Hayward

00:06:20So everybody's in the right spot sub linebacker sub linebacker is actually really important

00:06:25This comes in a ton depending on if you run a nickel or a dime

00:06:28And this is where I really want Peyton Wilson Peyton Wilson has a chance to win

00:06:33Defensive rookie of the year just simply by being on the field all the time and getting tackles

00:06:38So I got to give him that opportunity. I'll put Patrick Queen at the backup

00:06:41It's like corner is gonna come in too. We have Beanie Bishop

00:06:43We have two West Virginia rookies on this team Beanie Bishop as well as our center and blanking on his name Zack Frazier

00:06:50Yeah, someone's offering a trade for Preston Smith, and I'm not using Preston Smith at all

00:06:54We get a sixth round pick and Dante Pettis. You could have just offered me the pick I would have take

00:06:58There's also a trade offer for a Landon Roberts who we are definitely not using either and the Seattle Seahawks are out of their minds

00:07:05You're gonna give me a fifth sixth and a seventh for my 30 year old depth middle linebacker even better than that

00:07:09The Lions are gonna give me a fourth and a set. I'm gonna take two great starts. Not at all

00:07:14All right, let's sum up to midseason. This year is really a wash. We got to go draft the quarterback

00:07:18So let's get prepared to do this

00:07:20So at midseason were four and three which is very Pittsburgh Steelers of us

00:07:23But take a look at the stats Russell Wilson is the second leader in passing yards behind Trevor Lawrence

00:07:29TJ watt is top two in sacks and George Pickens leads the league in receiving yards and frankly, it's not close

00:07:36He's a hundred and fifteen hundred twenty over Brandon. Iuke Rams is low-key OP

00:07:41But it's only OP for stats like I don't know that I've ever really had a ton of postseason success with this playbook

00:07:47You just get a shit ton of reps, you know that you get great development

00:07:51And that's exactly what we need right now for George Pickett. This was truly a Pittsburgh Steelers season

00:07:55We went eight and nine, which is the curse of middle of the pack. Oh my goodness, dude

00:08:00I mean part of the reason what eight and nine is the AFC North is just a powerhouse 12 and 5 since he 12 and 5

00:08:05Baltimore and the AFC East the Jets go 11 and 6 and the Bills go 14 and 3

00:08:10Indy gets a playoff berth at 9 and 8 and then Denver LAC and AFC. This is a weird sim

00:08:16This is a weird sim regardless. You take a look at the league leaders and stats TJ Watt with 15 sacks and 16 TFL's

00:08:24George Pickens with a thousand six hundred receiving yards 15 touchdowns and a hundred seventeen receptions

00:08:31That's an Antonio Browns that line right there looks like Russell Wilson regressed a little bit. Yeah

00:08:36I mean, this is this is why we need a quarterback so badly. He's throwing four thousand one hundred yards

00:08:40Look at the interceptions 34 and 20. I mean that might lead the league in interceptions. That is a lot of interceptions

00:09:35And I think I was more excited for Highsmith who I think we're gonna get more longevity out of cam

00:09:45Brew with an interception a piece. This is what I dreamed of Aidan Hutchison defensive player of the year

00:09:50McConkey's offensive rookie the offensive player of the year goes to Josh

00:09:54Allen that kind of sucks cam Hayward's gone one of our best defensive players out of the lineup in this upcoming draft

00:09:59We desperately need a quarterback as well as a d-tackle a little more than I'd like to get luckily free agencies coming up here

00:10:06If I can patch up a d-tackle in free agency, that would be nice free agency Javon Holland young good free safety

00:10:13Damn, this is kind of nice, but I got I got Minka and Elliot. I don't really need this

00:10:18Tackles, it's a pretty weak d-tackle free agency. I don't think this is worth it

00:10:22There's nothing in free agency that particularly jumps out. Let's go to this draft. Okay, here's the mock drafts

00:11:24This would guarantee me I'd get a really good quarterback if they'd oh, they don't have the cap room shit

00:11:31I have four seven round picks, which I don't know how the hell we have four seventh round picks

00:11:36But for my first round pick pick 12 and two seventh round picks we trade up four slots

00:11:42I feel kind of dirty. It doesn't seem realistic at all. They really got a tune trading in this game

00:11:47Although once again, I did just witness Luka Donchik get traded for Anthony Davis. So anything is possible

00:12:23I can't say I'm mad about it. All we really need it is for him to be hidden

00:15:09He may be the best overall player in the class, but that's such a liability. I'm really glad we didn't fall in that trap

00:15:27so we traded exactly to where we needed to trade to Nick Oliver was a great pick and

00:15:32The Cowboys drafted will Brock with the pick that we trade to them a 75 overall corner

00:15:38I think it worked out for the both of us before the season kicks off

00:15:40I do want to get rid of one of these middle linebackers because I want Peyton Wilson to get reps

00:15:44I'm kind of just wasting a pretty soft like Cole Holcomb's not great

00:15:48But he's definitely worth a draft the Panthers need a middle linebacker and they're willing to give me a fifth round pick for a cool
