00:00The heat in some places is now danger level, even though it's not yet officially hot.

00:05According to an expert, the heat is different now compared to the first time due to climate change.

00:17From the freezing cold water of a delivery rider,

00:45Today, the heat index reached the danger level of 44 degrees Celsius in Dagupan, Pangasinan,

00:5143 degrees Celsius in Virac, Catanduanes, and 42 degrees Celsius in Tacloban, Leyte.

00:57In Pangasinan, where the heat index is high,

01:00fishermen are now worried about their catch.

01:04The water is lacking oxygen, so they're breathing on top of it.

01:38According to the U.P. Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology,

02:02In the whole world, even though there are places that feel hotter,

02:06in Metro Manila, there are more urban spaces.

02:08It's cement, essentially, so it absorbs heat.

02:14Later on during the day, it releases heat.

02:19That's why it gets hotter.

02:21To avoid the adverse effects of extreme heat,

02:24sun exposure should be avoided between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

02:29Wear fresh clothing and always stay hydrated.

02:34The water level in Angat Dam is declining,

02:37supplying more than 90% of Metro Manila's water supply.

02:41MWSS said earlier that they don't see a water shortage.
