00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, is now calling for incumbent officials to remove their faces from local government projects in their area, according to COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia.
00:15This is considered election propaganda after the campaign started on March 28.
00:22Garcia added that they will use their faces to influence voters in the upcoming election in May.
00:29COMELEC clarified that they will not remove the names of incumbent officials because they are currently sitting officials in their area.
00:39Garcia also said that candidates may be accused of abuse of state resources or misuse of money and government resources.
00:47Meanwhile, COMELEC will continue to issue notices to candidates who oppose the campaign to remove their illegal campaign materials.
