00:03Ang maraming nutrients nito, tinalakyan ng isang grupo ng mga potato farmer.

00:17Sa hog sa afritada, curry, o kahit gawin pang salad,
00:20yan ang patatas na hindi basta-basta sa nutrients nitong taglay.
00:24Mayroon itong vitamin C na nagpapalakas ng immune system
00:28at nakakatulong sa produksyon ng collagen sa katawan.
00:31So you don't actually need thousands of milligrams of vitamin C per day.
00:37Usually, it's around 60 to 70 milligrams per day.
00:41And potatoes already meet around 30 percent of that.
00:44Hindi lang daw basta carbs, mayroon ang patatas,
00:47kundi complex carbohydrates na mas matagal ma-absorb at i-break ng katawan.
00:52So when we're talking about carbohydrates for a diet of,
00:55let's say, somebody who has to manage blood sugar levels,
00:58or maybe for somebody who wants more sustained energy,
01:01we usually look for more complex carbohydrates.
01:05And potatoes are a great source of that.
01:08Mayroon din itong potassium, iron, protein, vitamin B6, fiber, at resistant starch.
01:15Resistant starch is a type of starch or a type of carb that we can't digest.
01:21And because of this, it acts similar to fiber
01:24and helps us with blood sugar management and satiety.
