00:00Yeah, I was a massive Oasis fan. I went to Nebworth, which is like a famous gig they did,
00:06was about 300,000, I think. And I went to, I saw them, it was cool as well. Yeah, and I loved them.
00:14Yeah, yeah, yeah, they were like, I just felt there was something really different,
00:18and there was just a buzz around them. Yeah, so I was a big Oasis fan back in the day.
00:23These are like, they're like CD box sets that are singles from Deathly Mayhem,
00:27singles from What's The Story, More Than Glory. So, and these come in, so just a few weeks ago.
00:31I think they're quite, they're quite rare. We have had some quite rare Oasis vinyl in here as well.
00:37We had Familiar to Millions, which is really rare. Familiar to Millions, we sold that for
00:42four, six, five, which is, yeah, I mean a lot of money. And it's quite, it came in with a
00:46collection about a year and a half ago. And was that after or before the announcement?
00:51That was before the announcement. That had been in the shop for about a year. So I think there
00:55has been an interest online, so I think we sold that, due to obviously what's going on with Oasis now.
01:01But, you know, generally we've got all the reissues in stock. They sort of sell steadily.
01:06I wouldn't have said since the announcement about their talk, that obviously they've got back
01:11together. It's made a massive amount of difference for us as a shop. So I'm a bit older than Oasis.
01:18So I was collecting records in the very late 70s and I've never stopped. But yeah, Oasis came
01:25along obviously in the very early 90s. And I remember seeing them at the venue in New Cross
01:32when they, I think they'd only brought out maybe one or two of their singles.
01:36And I don't think the first album had come out at that stage. And you knew there was something
01:40special about this band. You know, they were already, they were being hyped
01:45about the attitude between two brothers, but the music seemed to be quite interesting as well.
01:50You know, this was pre-Britpop. It was just, it seemed to be a throwback to the
01:5660s and 70s. What do you think of them coming? What do you think of the comeback? Do you think
02:00it's a good thing for them, for music? I think for them financially, it's an amazing,
02:05it's an amazing, amazing thing. For in general, I don't know. I mean, you know,
02:11if it gets a few headlines about, you know, sorts of records and music in general, then it's,
02:16yeah, it's a good thing. If it's all about them and, you know, and just hyping them up and,
02:21you know, sort of, and them making a huge amount of money. Well, you know, I'm less impressed.
02:31If I could go, I would go. But I'm not willing to pay £500 for a ticket. Like I said, I saw them
02:36back in the day. I'm sure it'll be amazing. And I think it's, I think it's obviously financially
02:43motivated, but I know the people who go there will actually, yeah, I mean, they are fantastic,
02:48like, and, you know, music at the time, the first two albums were just, yeah,
02:53they were something else, just something really different.
