Cabinet Returns Budget, Fiscal Planning Law for Legislative Revote

Taiwan's Cabinet has sent back two controversial bills that it says would restrict the government's ability to carry out its programs in 2025. The opposition-led legislature cut or froze nearly 7% of the proposed budget, saying it wanted to prevent overspending.
