00:00But eventually, it comes to a point where, you know, you may not be playing to the ability
00:06of what the decision makers think you should be.
00:12And I think that's all.
00:13You know, people come into this league, and they perform at a certain level.
00:17And sometimes you get that rookie contract and you perform better than it.
00:21Then you get that second contract.
00:23And you, some people think it's okay to keep performing how they did in the rookie contract.
00:28Nope.
00:29You gotta step it up some more, because you're looking for the third contract.
00:32And if you don't get a third contract, you can't just be playing the other one.
00:36And I think when injuries start to pop up, and that's the unfortunate thing about professional
00:40sports, injuries start popping up, dollars are going up, they start looking for a cheaper
00:46option.
00:48And let's be real, if you played in high school, you played in college, wherever, you always
00:55was concerned about the guy coming behind you, because someone is always trying to take
00:59your job.
01:00It's not like they can't find people that want it.
01:03And I think that's exactly what happened with this situation now, where they think they
01:08can get the play, the ability that they've been getting from John, from somebody younger
01:14and cheaper.
01:15Let's go to Orlando.
01:16Check out Mike.
01:17Mike, what's going on, man?
01:18What's going on, B Mesh?
01:19How you doing, brother?
01:20I'm good, man.
01:21Yes, sir.
01:22Yes, sir.
01:23So I think my thoughts on the whole John Allen, it's been great.
01:29It's time to move on.
01:31We need to get fresh in that and on the trenches, man.
01:34And you know, it's been great.
01:36He was a class act while he was here.
01:38Yeah.
01:39And I think that's gonna go a long ways for him, you know.
01:43Appreciate your call, man.
01:44Because what happens when you start looking around, teams are going to ask, what kind
01:50of character he has?
01:52What kind of person he is?
01:53Do I have to worry about any concerns about him?
01:54No, I don't think there's anything you need to worry about with John.
01:58John was there.
01:59He showed up.
02:00He worked his tail off.
02:01Just maybe, listen, sometimes you are, your good is not good enough for somebody else.
02:06You know, that's just what it is.
02:09It happens like that.
02:10And I don't think it's a bad thing or whatever.
02:12It's just, as I stated earlier, the business of sports, of professional sports.
02:18You could be out there performing at such a level and we get happy because we, as we
02:24see a person, John grew up in the area.
02:27He was like a first round pick.
02:29When you see those people, you start to have a certain affinity for them.
02:33And we can get a little blinded by things.
02:37The people that job is to make sure the team is built the proper way and have the ability
02:42to compete with other teams, they can't get blinded.
02:46They can't like the person.
02:48As I've said many a times, I have sat there and I have, you know, guys on a team and you
02:55see them about to get cut.
02:56You absolutely like that guy, but you know why they may be doing it.
03:02And you, you, you, I said earlier, you got phones, you can stay friends with them, but
03:08they just might not, might not be your teammate.
03:10And these Adam Peters and his crew, their job is to make the Western commanders as good
03:16as they possibly could be.
03:18Their job is to make the Western commanders competitive at a level to where they hope
03:23to end up in the Superbowl and win it.
