00:00Good afternoon from DOST Pagasa. This is our latest weather update.
00:05At the moment, the Northeast monsoon or the cold wind is affecting a large part of Luzon.
00:11The wind here is cold because it comes from the subtropical region of Japan and Siberian High.
00:18And this brings floods and rains here in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region.
00:29On the other hand, in the western part of Luzon, we may experience clear skies but there is still a chance of isolated rain showers.
00:41The shear line or the cold wind from the Northeast monsoon and the hot wind from the easterlies
00:50is what we expect to affect the eastern part of Visayas.
00:54It reaches up to the Zamboanga Peninsula.
00:57The shear line is because the two winds meet, it produces convective clouds or storms that can bring heavy rains in a short period of time.
01:10And this can affect the eastern part of Visayas.
01:14The easterlies is what we expect to bring rain or thunderstorms here in the eastern part of Mindanao.
01:23This includes the Caraga Region and the Davao Region.
01:27We are not expecting any storms or bad weather to affect the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:36This is what we expect until next week.
01:41For our forecast for tomorrow, the wind will continue to affect the eastern part of the Philippines.
01:48We are expecting clear skies tomorrow in the western part of Luzon.

02:08And in Legazpi, it is 24°C to 30°C.
02:11For Visayas and Mindanao, the easterlies and shearlines will continue to affect tomorrow.
02:18And this will bring rain in the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao.
02:22We are expecting clear skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the western part of Visayas and Mindanao.

02:45At the moment, we have a gale warning.
02:48This is a warning for high waves.
02:53That is why we are advising our fellow Filipinos to use small sea vehicles
02:59because our waves can reach up to 4.5 meters.
03:05And if we have large sea vehicles, we are advising them to be careful.
03:13Especially in the western coast of Ilocos Norte,
03:16in the eastern coast of Cagayan,
03:18in Isabela,
03:19in the northern and eastern coast of Catanduanes,
