00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Monday, February 24, 2025.

00:09At the moment, the effect of the shear line is partially reduced and it is no longer affecting any part of our country.

00:16However, some parts of our country will still experience rainy weather due to the effect of the easterly or hot wind coming from the Pacific Ocean,

00:25as well as this northeast monsoon or cold wind.

00:29If we can see here in our latest satellite animation,

00:32we can see clouds approaching our land.

00:36This is due to the easterly or hot wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.

00:41And because of the easterly, most of the country will experience rainy weather,

00:47as well as here in the eastern sections of Mindanao and some parts of Bicol Region.

00:54Meanwhile, for areas of northern and central Luzon,

00:57the easterly or northeast monsoon is still in effect and it will cause severe rainfall

01:03in a large part of northern Luzon today.

01:07In the next few days, we expect that the effect of this northeast monsoon will be somewhat stronger

01:12and it will cause severe rainfall in the eastern part of the Luzon area for the next two days.

01:18And when Thursday comes, the effect of the easterly will be somewhat weaker.

01:24So before the end of the week, we expect a clear weather in a large part of our country.

01:31For now, we are not being monitored or monitored by a low-pressure area or typhoon

01:36inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:41The weather will be good today here in Luzon due to the effect of this easterly.

01:46The sky will be cloudy and it will be accompanied by severe rainfall in Cagayan Valley

01:52as well as in Cordillera Administrative Region as well as here in Aurora.

01:57And in a large part of Luzon, the weather will be clear,

02:01but there are still chances of quick rainfall or isolated light rains here in Ilocos Region,

02:08in a large part or the rest of Central Luzon area, as well as here in Metro Manila as well as in Calabar Zone.

02:15Meanwhile, most parts of Bicol Region, as well as in Mimaropa,

02:19the weather will be clear, but there are still chances of isolated thunderstorms

02:24that are more common in the afternoon and at night.

02:27Here in the southern portion of Bicol Region, in Sorsogon and Masbate,

02:31it will be rainy or possible that it will rain today due to the effect of the easterlies.

02:38As for the temperature forecast for the neighboring cities here in Luzon,

02:41for Tuguegarao, our maximum temperature will reach 27 degrees Celsius.

02:47For here in Lawag, the temperature will range from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius,

02:5415 to 22 for Baguio City, and here in Metro Manila, it will range from 22 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:01For Legazpi City, the maximum temperature will reach 31 degrees Celsius.

03:06And here in Tagaytay, the maximum temperature will range from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.

03:15The weather will be clear in most parts of our country

03:18because of the continuous effect of easterlies,

03:20it is possible that it will be rainy over large parts of Visayas area.

03:26Even here in the eastern sections of Mindanao, in Caraga, Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental,

03:33it is possible to experience the effect of the easterlies.

03:37For the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, just like here in Palawan,

03:41generally, we have fair weather conditions,

03:43but there are still chances of isolated thunderstorms,

03:46especially when it comes to the afternoon or night.

03:50As for the temperature forecast for the neighboring cities here in Palawan,

03:53our maximum temperatures for Calayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa will reach 31 degrees Celsius.

04:01For Visayas, for Ilo-Ilo, the maximum temperature will range from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius,

04:07and 29 degrees Celsius for Tacloban and Metro Cebu.

04:14For Mindanao, the maximum temperature for Zamboanga as well as Metro Davao will reach 32 degrees Celsius,

04:20and for Cagayan de Oro, the maximum temperature will range from 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.

04:28As for the sea level, we expect that it will rise up to a very high sea level

04:33in the coastal areas of the Northern Luzon,

04:36which will be affected by the wind.

04:38Particularly in the coastal areas of Batanes,

04:41as well as in the northern coast of Cagayan,

04:44along with the Babuyan Islands, as well as in the coastal areas of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

04:50It may reach 5.0 meters above sea level,

04:54so it is dangerous for our countrymen who have small cars to cross the sea.
