00:00Today, we're going to take a quick look at the American League Central.
00:03Matt, thanks for coming on the show.
00:04Let's take a look at these close odds, by the way, to win this division.
00:07I think this is the closest division, maybe in baseball, where you have three
00:10teams that are 2-1 and then 1-3-1 to win the division.
00:13Minnesota, Detroit, Cleveland, and then Kansas City, even right there.
00:17That tells you they have no idea.
00:18We basically couldn't fit the White Sox odds on the screen, as you can see there.
00:22We had to, like, have an extra column after they lost so many games last year.
00:26So good luck, White Sox fans.
00:28But very much up for grabs, man.
00:30I can see this coming down to what?
00:32Like, last game of the season or so?
00:33It could be a fun one.
00:35Yeah, this one definitely feels like it's going to be going down to the last week
00:38one way or another.
00:39It's just a question of which of those four teams are still going to be in the race.
00:43But very similar teams.
00:45Obviously, the makeup of each team is not exactly the same.
00:48But I think we have, you know, a lot of good pitching, got some pretty good
00:52bullpens, especially with the Guardians.
00:54And none of the lineups, I don't think, for most of these teams really jump off
00:58the page.
00:58No one's getting too excited.
01:00But they obviously all have some really good players.
01:02They all got some guys who can, you know, who can hit home runs,
01:05who can drive in runs.
01:07And I think that just makes them all very similar.
01:10It's tough to see a team really running away.
01:13And I think betters look at that, too.
01:14I have a theory that betters like to look at offense.
01:16They like teams that are going to score a lot of runs, and they get really excited
01:19about that.
01:20And with these lineups, you go, okay, that's pretty good.
01:22All right, they're not bad.
01:23They got some up-and-comers, whatever it is.
01:26And so it's tough for any of these teams to really stand out in betters' minds,
01:30and certainly the sportsbooks are pricing it accordingly.
