00:00So Glassdoor's out with this annual Best Places to Work list for 2025.
00:06Who are the top five companies on that list?
00:08The top five companies on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list are
00:12Bain & Company, Crew Car Wash, In-N-Out Burger at number three,
00:16NVIDIA at number four, and then Eli Lilly at number five.
00:19So what are some of the surprises on this list?
00:23Well, I think, you know, for some folks, companies like In-N-Out Burger
00:27might be a little bit more surprising because you hear them and you're like,
00:30well, you know, I've never necessarily thought of them as a best place to work.
00:34But I think the themes there are, especially for companies in industries
00:39like retail or food services, some of these companies really stand out
00:44by treating their workers much better than their peers or competitors, right?
00:48So not only do they pay them well, they offer better benefits,
00:51but they also give people a path to career growth in a way
00:55that is really important right now.
00:57I think a lot of folks feel kind of stuck in their careers right now.
01:00And so one of the themes that we see this year is companies on the list
01:05are the ones that really emphasize career development and career growth.
01:08How much does flexible working environment factor into the companies
01:17that are at the top of the list?
01:20Well, I think flexible work and flexible culture are really important things
01:25for the companies on the list.
01:27Of course, that is different for each company, right?
01:30Because not every company can offer fully remote work for everybody.
01:34There's some companies that need to be in person.
01:36But there are ways that you can offer flexibility.
01:39So hybrid or remote work is the most obvious one.
01:42Flexible working hours can be another.
01:44But I think ultimately flexibility is something that employees talk about a lot.
01:48And really that comes back to trust.
01:50That comes back to employees feeling like their employers trust them
01:54to get their work done.
01:56And they don't necessarily need to rely on these rules or rigid structures
02:01to force them to be in the office or be on the job at certain hours
02:05because their employers trust them.
