00:00Next, regarding the initiative to deal with the issue of traffic jams in Jalan Raya in Lembah Kelang.
00:09Your Honour, Kepung has raised the issue of traffic jams for drivers who enter certain areas at the peak of the traffic jam
00:18based on the number plate to reduce the number of traffic jams in Kuala Lumpur.
00:22In short, I would like to say that this initiative has been discussed in the Cabinet's meeting on traffic jams.
00:32The Government is very concerned about the welfare of the people.
00:36We want to focus on the public transport system so that it can be strengthened and developed
00:42so that people and users can have choices before such initiatives are decided or considered.
00:50So, for the people, especially the residents in Lembah Kelang,
00:55even though there is a suggestion to charge the driver with congestion charges,
01:01the Government has not yet decided to use that charge.
01:06We will focus on increasing access to public transport, especially first and last mile connectivity.
01:15So, we will continue to encourage people to use public transport.
01:19There are various initiatives being implemented to strengthen the public transport system in our country,
01:26especially in Lembah Kelang.
