00:00Pakistan Association Dubai is a community organization, volunteer-run organization supported
00:10by the community. It has launched recently a project, a Pakistan Center, based on the
00:18concept of Own a Brick. It is part of a bigger project which includes the Pakistan Auditorium
00:25sports complex and altogether this would form the world's largest community center
00:31for overseas Pakistanis. The new Pakistan Center building includes the Pakistan Medical
00:36Center which is the first not-for-profit healthcare for all medical facility and it's open to
00:42all nationalities. Pakistan Medical Center has been made with a view to support people
00:47and help those who are unable to get quality care. Our vision has been to bring a positive
00:53change in healthcare by providing quality care to all those who cannot access that.
00:59So on that, we have already planned our campaigns for the patients where they can get all the
01:05services on a very subsidized rate. The concept of the Pakistan Medical Center was based on
01:13our experience for the last 10 years of providing healthcare, free medical camps to all segments
01:18of the community and to other nationalities. The model is designed in such a way that we
01:23will be collaborating with different centers in Dubai in order to get their support in
01:28managing a patient where the scope of services of Pakistan Medical Center is not there. In
01:33a way, this is a very unique concept which has been started for the first time and it
01:38has been supported by the community throughout with the concept of Own a Brick, we all know,
01:43and that probably will continue because a lot of patients will be looking for the support
01:48of the community when they are paid by the amount from Zakat and welfare. So these are
01:55the areas where we will be looking for community's continuous support. The new building includes
02:00a health and fitness center which is named after Shahid Afridi Foundation. It also has
02:06areas which are focusing on women empowerment. There is an area called Hunarkada. Then we
02:14have an area which serves the young entrepreneurs called Hub 47. We have an art corner which
02:21is going to be providing space for young artists.
