00:00And in terms of what the terms of the deal might be, I mean, Moscow's saying it's not
00:05prepared to give up any land. President Trump has already said that Ukraine's not going
00:11to be joining NATO. I mean, what concessions might you expect President Trump to extract
00:16from the Russians?
00:17Well, for us, it's not even about concessions. But the main thing that should come to make
00:24any kind of deal is the security guarantee. This is the baseline. And this is absolutely
00:30critical. This is why we are not taking seriously any discussions right now, because they are
00:36not based on the security guarantees that are needed.
00:39Tom, we here in Ukraine have been in so-called ceasefire deal with Russia since 2014. And
00:46I can tell you that there was not a single day when Russia would honor this deal and
00:51would not be attacking our soldiers at the front line. So right now, the question that
00:57Ukrainian people are asking is how this new deal will be any different. And that's why
01:03we need an understanding of how it will be secured and basically who or what in the whole
01:09world can make sure that Putin will keep his part of the bargain. As of right now, we have
01:15not seen any proposals that would answer this simple particular question.
