00:00Through the so-called GECS MOVE program of DICT Region 1,

00:18The Government Emergency Communication System Mobile Operation Vehicle for Emergency or GECS MOVE in Ilocos Region is a big help.
00:27Residents who are affected by calamities are quickly responding and are able to see the needs of the affected residents
00:32through the Very Small Aperture Terminal and STARLINK.
00:36In fact, this was used by the Provincial Government in the town of Adams after it became isolated due to the strong typhoon.
00:43It helps us during times of calamities and other emergencies since this is a mobile command center.
00:55So we will be able to respond and coordinate well with other participating and collaborating agencies.
01:03Aside from VSAT and STARLINK for communication, there is also a 4x4 and a big motor
01:09that has a smaller transmitter that can go to Ground Zero if there is a calamity.
01:13It also has a hub that will serve as a command center, radios, monitoring equipment, and server.
01:20A set of the system is estimated to be worth P60 million.
01:25GECS MOVE will be turned over to the Department of Information and Communication Technology Region 1
01:30from the United Nations World Food Program for the disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities of the province.
