00:00The Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH has completed two major road projects in Albay
00:07benefiting motorists and farmers in the province's 1st and 3rd districts.
00:12The 14.92 million peso farm-to-market road in Barangay Tagpo, Ligao City improves access to
00:21rice farmlands making transportation to and from markets more efficient.
00:28Meanwhile in Barangay Bantayan, Tabaco City, DPWH also expanded a section of the Ligao-Tabaco
00:36Road from two to four lanes. The 19.18 million peso project is expected to ease traffic congestion
00:45and includes drainage systems and solar-powered streetlights for improved road safety.
00:52DPWH Regional Office 5 Director Virgilio Eduardo said that these projects align with
00:58the government's push for agricultural and infrastructure development under President
01:04Ferdinand Marquez Jr. With these improvements, Albay's farmers and motorists can expect better
01:10connectivity and economic opportunities.
