00:00The collaborative effort between Emirates, Airbus and Rolls-Royce exemplifies what can
00:22be achieved when we share a commitment to excellence and build a long-term partnership
00:28that makes us all stronger. Together, we have built a legacy of leadership in the aviation
00:33industry, delivering the very best for all our customers around the world. From everyone
00:39at Rolls-Royce, we thank you for this opportunity and for inviting us to Dubai. Our own relationship
00:46with Emirates dates back to 1996, when the airline first selected Rolls-Royce Trent engines
00:52to power its fleet. We have continued our long history together and today I'm proud
00:57to welcome the Trent XWB-84 to Emirates. The Trent XWB-84 is the 6th member of the
01:04Trent family to be introduced and flown by Emirates. The 350-900 in Emirates, colouring
01:12connected cities around the world through its home in Dubai. This delivery is in fact
01:19the 175th delivery from Airbus to Emirates, since the first one 37 years ago in 1987.
01:30Today it is Emirates' second year running, the number one global destination in TripAdvisor's
01:38Traveller's Choice Award. Thanks to the vision of His Highness, thanks to your team, Dubai
01:45hosts the most stunning architecture. It perfectly blends the traditional way of life
01:53with the modern way. It offers unprecedented entertainment and quality of life, as well
02:00as being a bustling business club. It's to provide everyone on board the best possible
02:07in-flight environment and experience. And I'm sure our friends at Airbus will tell
02:14you that Emirates is rather demanding about customisation. So when it comes to our product
02:20and customer experience, an off-the-shelf or cookie-cutter approach is not for us. On
02:26the 350, we have customised the cabin design and layout and added many innovative little
02:32features to delight our customers and help our crew deliver better service. And I hope
02:38you will have a chance to experience it for yourselves later. But the moment you step
02:43on board the Airbus A350, you will notice the sense of space and light, and see the
02:50many thoughtful features and luxury touches in all our cabins. We've always in the past
02:56ensured that the interior look and feel of the cabin is driven by a light colour palette,
03:01which lets the natural light through the windows do a great job to heighten and lighten the
03:07features we've put in there. You'll see the same colour schemes we've used in the previous
03:12aircraft, all light, cheerful, bright. And unlike many of our competent carriers, they
03:18go for dark woods, dark colours, et cetera, and they're very gloomy inside.
