00:00I couldn't wait to get here, you know, it's been coming for a few months now.

00:09I was thrilled and honoured, obviously, when Luke asked me to, you know, captain the continental

00:14side.

00:15I'm looking forward to, hopefully, a fun week.

00:18We've got two very good teams of really good players here, so hopefully they can all play

00:23some great golf, make it fair, make it competitive, and see who wins on Sunday.

00:29I'm very excited.

00:30It's great to get into that team atmosphere again, that team mindset, and what comes with

00:34that, surrounded by an amazing bunch of guys, amazing bunch of players, and very lucky to

00:40get to this stage of the week and come into this, and just around a bunch of very motivated,

00:44inspired guys that are ready to go.

00:48I think the important part is to make sure everybody does what they need to do to be

00:52in the best place for them to just perform individually.

00:54I think the way that the teams that I've been part of in a success is the ones that have

00:58applied themselves properly and have played so well individually that it then helps the

01:02team.

01:03I think I look at past captains and past teammates that have done things so well and have been

01:07such a big factor in what has happened in other team events.

01:11I try and take that and pass that on to the guys, but so far it looks like there's very

01:16little to do.

01:17Everybody's very ready.

01:18Everybody is very together, very supportive of each other, and I'm sure they're going

01:22to go out and do a great job.

01:23All you can ask at the end of the day is that everybody gives it 100% for each and every

01:26one of their teammates, and that's definitely what we'll be doing.

01:29I think that they'll feel mostly excited.

01:35You can see that all the guys are really happy to be here.

01:39They're getting some really good advice not only from Tommy and myself, but also from

01:44Luke and the vice captains and the other past Ryder Cup captains that we have here this

01:48week.

01:49So I think that's going to help them a lot to be ready for what's coming on Friday.

01:54It's definitely different to what we're used to week in and week out, but it's fun, it's

01:58exciting, it's a great opportunity for them to start their sort of match play team career

02:05for Team Europe at the end of the day.

02:07I think it's going to be great and I'm really looking forward to see how they fare out there.
