00:00Zeno, let's start at the very top because we have seen a ton of movement since these odds have been available in the last 72 hours or so.
00:09The Chiefs opened as the slight favorites in front of the reigning champs, now the Eagles, Philly now the shortest price at 6-1,
00:17the Chiefs and the Ravens tied for the second best number at plus 650, the Bills plus 750, and the Lions round out the top five at 10-1.
00:27Zeno, let's start with Philadelphia. What are the chances you give the Birds to try to go back-to-back as a Lombardi Trophy winner?
00:35I mean, they're high, but I would tell you again, I have to wait and see what the offseason brings.
00:39Look, you cannot, there's one thing you can't do in the NFL, and that's just run it back again.
00:45That never works, not anymore, not in today's NFL. You can't just run the same team back out there and go, we're going to be fine, look what we did last year.
00:54It's not how it works in this league, ever, not anymore. You know, in the 80s, you can do that, right?
00:59When the Niners did it every year, sure, that worked. It's a different league now. It's different coach, different players, different everything.
01:04So the Eagles are still going to have to try to improve as best they can in certain areas because there's so much game film on them now for being successful that teams will be able to figure it out.
01:15So I think it's high. I mean, obviously, they're going to be the odds on favorite to win the NFC East and the NFC.
01:20All those things are normal and expected, but I would not give them an absolute passing to it.
01:25In fact, I can't believe my eyes are bugging out at looking at the Detroit Lions at ten to one.
01:31The quickest I can get to Vegas and put a wager down on that is exactly where my money is going.
01:35Do we forget how defeated and injured that defense was by the end of the year?
01:40If the Lions are healthy, aren't they by far and away the best team in the NFC, maybe the best team in the league?
01:48I mean, that was what we thought for 15 weeks of the year and no one batted an eye at it because Jared Goff had a stinker and they played an offensive team with a banked up defense.
01:58All of a sudden, we think that this team has taken this. I don't see that.
02:02I still think the Lions are the best team in the league.
02:04They're going to put up 35 every single game and with a healthy defense, they're going to be really tough to stop.
02:08And if the path of the NFC goes back through Detroit again like it did this year, Lions are in the Super Bowl, in my opinion.
