Samsung made two huge announcements at their Unpacked event today. First, they launched their biggest and baddest S series device ever and second, they’re back in the flip phone business! Let’s check both phones out.

00:00Hi guys, good evening. This is Dhanesh from GN Tech and we're here checking out the latest
00:05and greatest from Samsung. The Unpacked event has just gotten over and they have launched
00:12the S20 series as well as the new Z Flip. So yeah, let's jump right in. Starting up
00:21with the Z Flip itself. The first thing is that, well, it flips. It's glass. That's something
00:30that's really cool. It has a 3300mAh battery. It's got a dual camera. It's got a 6.7-inch
00:40AMOLED display. It's got a small little display that's on the outside that is,
00:46well, interactive as well. But on the overall, it's very, very unique. I love that it's got
00:56a hinge whereby you can hold it down at any angle, well, almost any angle and it stays.
01:02So that's definitely something I like. Samsung claims to have a whole bunch of interactivity
01:08whereby they've updated apps such as YouTube where you can comment on the bottom while
01:14I'm watching your video on the top. You've also got the camera whereby you can,
01:22OK, let me see if I can do this over here. Yeah, there you go. So you can basically
01:29take a shot of yourself while interacting with the camera here on the bottom.
01:33So, yeah, I definitely like it. The hold is, well, the feel is better, I would say,
01:41than its current competition that I recently got to access. But I'm not completely sure about
01:49its pocketability. It feels like it would be slightly odd in the pocket. The hinge doesn't
01:55go all the way. It's not completely flat, but that's not really an issue. I never had an issue
02:00with that on the phone and I don't have an issue with it on this. So the screen is a 22 by 9 aspect
02:05ratio, which is pretty tall. But thanks to the way the phone is, well, I can say designed, it isn't
02:13impossible to get across to all corners and I don't exactly have big hands. It's got a punch
02:19hole camera on top, which you can see over there. It's got dual cameras on the back, which as per
02:26my knowledge, have an F1.8 and F2.2 aperture. So therefore, the camera should be able to handle
02:32low light decently. Type C charging, 3300 milliamp battery and a bottom firing speaker. So yeah,
02:42that's pretty much a quick gist of the Z Flip. Next, let's jump in to the S series. So with the
02:50S series, we've got the S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra. Here in the UAE, we've got the Exynos
02:57versions of the devices, which will be the Exynos 990, 7 nanometer chipsets. But in terms of the
03:04devices itself, they have a few differences. This one, the S20 is a 6.2 inch display. The S20 Plus
03:14is a 6.7 inch display and the S20 Ultra is a massive 6.9 inch display. All of them are the
03:27Infinity O displays, as you can see, thanks to the punch hole cameras. Talking first about the
03:33S20 and S20 Plus. The S20 is the obvious choice for anyone who still wants what you would call
03:40a relatively smaller device. It's very easy to hold in the hand. The screen looks great. It's
03:48not as curved as devices have been before, which I actually kind of like. I like the slightly
03:54flattened look of the display. The S20 Plus has the display that is still larger, but fits in the
04:01hand, easy to reach all corners. And yeah, it's a Samsung display. It looks absolutely fantastic.
04:07At this year's Unpacked event, there was a huge amount of concentration on cameras when it came
04:12to the S20 series. While the S20 has a triple camera setup, the S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra have
04:19a quad camera setup. You can record a video in 8K on all devices. You have a 100x zoom on the S20
04:26Ultra. The S20 Ultra comes with a 108 megapixel camera, while the S20 Plus and the S20 come with
04:3364 megapixel cameras. The S20 comes with 4G, while the S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra will be coming
04:38with 5G capabilities to the UAE. Batteries have been increased, so we've got 4000mAh, 4500mAh,
04:45and 5000mAh on the devices. We've also got 8GB of RAM on the S20, 8GB and 12GB on the S20 Plus,
04:54and 12GB and 16GB on the S20 Ultra. The S20 Ultra is being positioned as a device for anyone who
05:01wants to go pro, whether you're talking on the camera level, whether you're talking in terms of
05:04screen size, features, battery. The S20 Ultra seems to be offering everything that you would need
05:10as a content creator, as a person who pushes their phone to the limits.
