The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the latest 'Fan Edition' in the series, but what's remarkable about it is that it's really an iPhone 16 killer in disguise. Not only is it much cheaper at $649, but it has features that even rival the standard Galaxy S24 models. It's a big phone packed with bigger features, including a robust triple camera setup, 4,700 mAh battery, Exynos 2400e chip, and it even has many of the same Galaxy AI features we saw in other, more premium Galaxy phones.

00:26Kind of sharp edges there, which is typical of the Samsung Galaxy S24 line.

00:33So with the glass finish, you can tell it does get a little bit smudgy, but it does
00:38give it a premium look at the same time.
00:40For me, I really don't care if it gets smudged because I'll probably put a case on it, so
00:44it doesn't matter as much for me.
00:46You're getting a bigger display here, it's a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display versus the
00:50smallest 6.2 inch display in the Galaxy S24.
00:54And with its AMOLED screen, you get the same benefits, that means you get the deep blacks,
00:57wide viewing angles, and those nice punchy colors.
01:01And when you're outside, it still puts out a good amount of brightness.
01:05Another benefit of having a large screen is multitasking because now I can have side-by-side

01:12You get a lot of versatility with the triple cameras here.

01:17That means you get a 50 megapixel main camera, pretty much the same thing on the Galaxy S24.
01:22You get a 12 megapixel ultra-wide, but instead of a 10 megapixel telephoto, you get an 8

01:29And the other change here is just the front-facing camera, which is now an 8 megapixel camera

01:35Also love how it has your pro controls, full manual control, aperture, ISO, color temperature,

01:43And let's see if it has it also for video, which it does, pro video.
01:49Oh, and it also does 8K video at 30 frames per second.
01:53Instead of the Qualcomm chip, you're getting the Exynos 2400E chip here with the S24 FE.
01:59And honestly, I don't see that much compromises.

02:02120 hertz refresh rate definitely gives a nice fluid look with the screen.
02:07Great on multitasking, switching between apps, typical stuff you find in any phone, especially
02:11on this caliber.
02:12And the other thing I want to note here is that it does offer support for ray tracing.
02:17So any games that support that will have better shadow effects and also lighting.
02:22For most users, you're not going to really notice a big difference in the performance.
02:26Also has a lot of the same photo editing tricks as the S24.
02:30You can use generative edit to actually edit, tweak your photos.
