The Soyuz launch vehicle was successfully rolled out and lifted to position on Monday in preparation for the spaceflight that will take UAE's first Emirati astronaut to the International Space Station on September 25.

01:00Earlier we witnessed the rollout of the Soyuz launch vehicle from the assembly building
01:05and it will be transported via this rail tracks to the launch site.
01:12Launch pad number one.
01:14The same launch site that Yuri Gagarin used to blast off the space onboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft
01:21to be the first man in space on April 12, 1961.
01:25Crowds have gathered in the area.
01:27There are members of the media, officials from the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Center,
01:33even from Roscosmos and NASA are here at the moment
01:37waiting for the rail car to pass by.
01:45And this rail car is transporting the Soyuz launch vehicle.

02:47It's a three-stage rocket.
02:49The green part, that's the first stage.
02:53The central core and the four boosters.
02:57The second part is the second stage.
03:00And the white part is the nose fairing which encapsulates the Soyuz spacecraft
03:08which HASSA, Jessica and Russian commander Oleg Skripochka will use
03:13on their way to space on Wednesday.
03:17So what's happened is now the Soyuz after its assembly,
03:20the Soyuz rocket as well as the encapsulated Soyuz spacecraft
03:25have been rolled out of the assembly building,
03:28brought all the way here to Gagarin's start launch pad
03:32which is where Yuri Gagarin was launched from.
03:34And the rocket has been verticalized which means all of the,
03:39let's say the procedures to build up the rocket and encapsulate,
03:43everything has been done successfully.
03:45The rocket is ready now.
03:47They will be starting refueling
03:50and then once it's fueled, obviously,
03:52we are getting closer and closer to the launch day.
03:54For us to see the UAE flag everywhere here in Baikonur
03:58and to see the flag alongside the United States and Russian flags
04:03and the logo of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center on the rocket itself,
04:07this showcases that two or three years of hard work
04:10are coming to a very exciting conclusion very soon.
04:15Obviously the launch on the 25th is one event.
04:18We have a series of events happening for the next 10-15 days
04:21that involve the Hazza al-Mansouri and Sultan al-Niyadi
