00:22Running until September 8 at the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai Sports World will feature
00:2618 sports and activities and 10 professional academies over the 16-weeks duration.
00:31We are hosting a number of activities and corporate tournaments and a lot of government
00:39tournaments throughout the period of sports world.
00:41Multiple global and regional academies including La Liga Academy, Prestige Star Sport Academy,
00:46IFA Football Academy, Juventus Academy Dubai, Tennis 360, Professional Sports Academy, Deepika's
00:53Badminton Academy, G-Force Academy, and Just Play are running training and development
00:57programs for aspiring players this year.
01:00Basketball around the world is the second sport, so only here in Dubai never was the
01:04second sport.
01:05But now it's slowly picking up and I think that now it's much more interesting than before
01:11for basketball.
01:12You can see this with the kids, you can see this with the schools.
01:15I played with my friends but then like about 3-4 years ago, again my coach Dan came to
01:24our school to like train like just our kids.
01:29Then I got to know him much better and I eventually started training like serious basketball with
01:38him.
01:39New to Dubai Sports World, visitors can hone their gymnastics skills, play street basketball,
01:43enjoy virtual golf, and battle park shooting games.
01:47The 25,000 square meters indoor air-conditioned venue includes three pro-standard pitchers
01:52for a five-a-side football and rugby, three pro-standard pitchers for seven-a-side football
01:56and rugby, eight basketball courts, three street basketball courts, 12 badminton courts,
02:01three tennis courts, two volleyball courts, cycling and fitness studios, a cricket pitch,
02:05a wrestling ring, a paddle court, a table tennis zone, a 400-meter running track, and
02:09a state-of-the-art gym.
