00:09of Jumeirah Islands. It is in fact a mountain of froth that is mysteriously forming across
00:14several such lakes in the upscale community. It's not clear what has caused this phenomenon,
00:19but it has certainly spooked residents of the community. Many fear the foul-smelling
00:24foam could be contaminated, leading to health hazards. As Express visited the site last
00:30week, two workers were hopelessly trying to dissipate the enormous froths of scummy foam
00:36by shooting them with jets of water. It is an eyesore all right for residents living
00:40here and those passing by the lake every day. But worse, a constant stench emanating from
00:47the froth is raising concerns among them as to the potential health hazards that could
00:53be brewing beneath. Meanwhile, residents have taken to social media to express their concerns.
00:58One resident said, the stench is so overpowering you can't walk without covering your nose.
01:04Another said, it's like a fine environment ecology project for a school or university.
