00:08For the eighth time, Russia used its veto on the UN Security Council late Wednesday,
00:13shielding the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad once again from the consequences over alleged
00:18crimes. The resolution demanded the Syrian regime cooperate with an investigation into
00:23a chemical attack on rebel-held Idlib, which the West blames on al-Assad. Russia's veto
00:30was blasted by Western members of the Council, accusing Moscow of systematic opposition to
00:35a multilateral response on Syria.
00:38President Donald Trump hasn't been in the White House for 100 days, yet he's already
00:42reversed himself on many of his key campaign promises. In several interviews this week,
00:47the president has forced new positions on topics ranging from NATO to Chinese currency
00:52manipulation. They come as other campaign promises lag, including Trump's vow to build
00:58a concrete wall along the length of the southern border and have Mexico pay for it.
01:03Josh Brolin is expanding his comic book movie repertoire. Brolin is set to play the part
01:08of Cable in the 20th Century Fox's Deadpool 2, opposite lead Ryan Reynolds. He also plays
01:15the supervillain Thanos in various Avengers movies for competing studio Disney. Bollywood
01:21director Ali Abbas Zafar says Katrina Kaif will be undergoing an extensive training in
01:26hand-to-hand fighting to perform stunts in his next film, Tiger Zinda Hai. The forthcoming
01:32project is a sequel to 2012 super hit Ek Tha Tiger, which has Salman Khan in the lead.
01:38And finally, the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 38 degrees Celsius, dropping
01:43to 27 degrees at night. That's all for now. Thanks for watching. We will be back with
