00:07The man accused of hijacking an Egypt airplane appeared in a Cyprus court today, where police
00:12asked he be remanded in custody for eight days. Saif al-Din Mohammed Mustafa, 59, hijacked
00:18the A320 from Egypt and threatened to blow it up. But his explosives turned out to be
00:23fake and he surrendered with all passengers unharmed after a bizarre six-hour stand-off.
00:28Authorities said the most likely cause behind the hijack was a feud with his former wife.
00:33Brazil's largest party has abandoned President Dilma Rousseff's governing coalition, making
00:38it tougher for her to survive mounting pressure in Congress for her impeachment. The Brazilian
00:43Democratic Movement Party said six cabinet ministers and some 600 government employees
00:48from the party will step down.

01:47Oren Snyder, an attorney for John, denied the allegations and said the officer was seeking
01:52to extract an undeserved payment.
