Loren Ridinger Gets Candid About Grieving With Jennifer Lopez 'We Realized That There Is Sun Again'

00:00Yeah, you mentioned a few other famous people in the book that have really, you know, Jennifer.

00:05Jennifer Lopez is really with me. And at a time, like, you know, part of this whole journey

00:10was the week before J.R. passed away, we went to the wedding. You know, so and then by the

00:15time I finished the book, she was grieving with me. And so I realized that you don't

00:20have to lose someone to grieve. You can actually go through the loss of a loved one or a divorce

00:25and grieve. And and so she's been, you know, one of my best friends for so many years.

00:29And somebody who's been a big support and I love her and admire and I look up to her.

00:33But she's been, you know, a pillar of strength. Sure. At a time where it's been hard for her

00:37too. And she's a powerhouse. I'm always so proud of her and just blown away with how

00:43she knows how to reinvent. So she's been great. And, you know, I have so many friends who

00:47have gotten me through this, Jamie Foxx and and Alicia Keys and all of them. So they've

00:52all been a part of the book. And it's been really special for me.

00:56I think you said before, like grief comes in all different forms. And you said that

01:00Jennifer was grieving her divorce at the same time. What was it like to kind of have each

01:04other as a support?

01:05I think we were so fortunate that we had each other. I think we're so fortunate we had each

01:09other and we would if we wanted to cry, we could cry. If we wanted to laugh, we could

01:12laugh. And we realized that there is sun again. Yeah. And there are rainbows again. And she's

01:16such an inspirational person. Like when I was down, I could I could rely on her to pick

01:22me up. I would say like, hey, it's not a good day. She's like, OK, are you fine? Are you

01:26good? Are you great? And we knew the difference. We knew the words that, you know, when we

01:30needed each other. And I think that's what great friendships are about. When you can

01:34test really rocky roads, really rocky times. And there's not a person that I don't talk

01:39about it. You know, I talk quite a bit about her in the book and how much she inspired

01:42me and how much I love her. And and that the love story of going into the wedding and then,

01:48you know, losing Jer and then losing them after, you know, I was I was broken in many

01:53ways, you know. But I realized that, you know, she is as strong as ever and just a

01:58powerhouse. And I love her. I'm so proud of her. Yeah, I know that that news threw everybody

02:03for a loop. Yeah, she's yeah. Incredible. Yeah. But like you said, it's always reinvent

02:07yourself and you always see the sun again. Listen, she's awesome. All I can say is that

02:11she is. Jennifer is a real woman and inspirational and beautiful and just a great human. Yeah,

02:19a great human. I love her.
