00:00Hi, it's Sheena from Radio 1 and The Sheena Show here with GNTV at Bounce.
00:29I'm excited to try it because the music is really good and getting me in the mood to
00:33try this whole trampoline experience.
00:35I'm not going to lie, as usual, I'm a little bit scared that I might break something, but
00:40fingers crossed I'm going to be alright.
00:51The concept came from the States to start off with.
00:53A couple of guys in Australia went to the States, had a look at a trampoline park, just
00:58a warehouse full of trampolines and thought, yeah, it's good, not great, we can do better.
01:02And Bounce was born.
01:03We have the wall in here, the crack at running, we've got dodgeball, we've got beats pumping,
01:07we've got a huge free jumping arena and the free jumping revolution has arrived in Dubai.
01:12Free jumping, I think it's that couple of seconds in the air when you're jumping from
01:17one tramp to the next or just jumping on the same tramp that you get that sense of freedom.
01:22That freedom, the flight in the air.
01:25So this has been a pretty awesome, kind of crazy experience here at Bounce.
01:28We started off, I was a little bit nervous, thinking, I don't know, it's been like 20
01:31years since I've been on a trampoline, but we started off in the free jump area and Greg
01:36showed me a few simple things like the bum bounce, I think it was called, and I nailed
01:40it.
01:41And then he showed me this bum twist thing, took me a few tries, but got it.
01:45So then I kind of built up some confidence and I was like, okay, we can try something
01:49else.
01:50Then we went to the area where they do all the tricks and they have that big air bag
01:52and you can kind of like do somersaults and fun things into it.
01:55I didn't think I would be able to do that, but he started off easy with me.
01:59It was like a stop and then try the trick.
02:02I think safety was really important with that, so they make sure to teach you, you know,
02:07tuck your chin in and bend your knees properly, so that was fun.
02:10And then we moved to the wall running.
02:13At this point, I had a lot of confidence, but I was kind of terrible at that, but I
02:17think I'm going to have to come back for some more practice and maybe nail it.
02:20The bug has hit me now, like now that I didn't get it, I just want to come back and keep
02:24trying until I can nail that.
02:26It makes me think of like, you know when kids are fearless and they've gotten around it,
02:30they actually feel free and like they can fly.
02:32So I'm looking around thinking, oh, okay, if they can do it, then I can do it eventually.
02:38People come back for many reasons.
02:39They come back for fitness, they come back for fun.
02:41It's accessible to absolutely everybody.
02:43It builds a lot of trust, builds a lot of self-confidence.
02:46Coming back and jumping on the trampolines, you build a trick from its base and nailing
02:50that trick once you've built it from scratch is a great feeling.
02:53Okay, now that I've had some training, I kind of know what I'm doing, I know all the safety rules.
02:58Get out of here, I'm going to bounce.
