00:00Senate President Francis Cheese Escudero opposed the solution of former lawmakers who asked President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for a special session for the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:18Senate President Francis Escudero has no intention of asking the President for a special session.

00:24This is what former lawmakers have proposed to start the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:31But now, it looks like it's already set with the SP.

00:37This is not one of the reasons for calling for a special session of the Senate.

00:42In addition to this, who wants to have a special session even though we will have a trial before the election?

00:48Who is pro-anti-VP Sara? We will not listen. We will follow the law.

00:53Why would I change the treatment of this impeachment complaint?

00:58This is not special. This is not different.

01:01We think that this is just an ordinary impeachment complaint against an impeachable officer.

01:08It is possible that after the Senate session of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the impeachment trial will start.

01:14Most likely, the new Congress already enters into its function. That means after the Senate.

01:21Escudero said that the process of impeachment should not be feared because it is normal and it is in accordance with the law.

01:28The Senator also answered the scenario that there might be a problem if the impeachment trial will not start in the 19th Congress.
