00:00A group will be formed to decide who will be included in the list of PBA's 50 Greatest Players to be played in the National League

00:09along with the Golden Anniversary season this year.

00:12But what are the criteria that the so-called Selection Committee is looking for

00:17in the selection of players to be included in the list?

00:20That's what PBA Commissioner William Marshall clarified in a letter from Rafael Bandairel.

00:27Along with the anticipation of the upcoming 50th season of PBA this year,

00:33many have also pointed out who will be added to the list of all-time greats of the National League.

00:40Ten players will be included in the lineup of PBA's 50 Greatest Players.

00:45That's why the Selection Committee is now ready,

00:48which includes PBA legends, former coaches, and also former members of the media.

00:54In his exclusive interview with PTV Sports,

00:57League Commissioner William Marshall stated that the criteria for the selection of players to be included in the list is simple.

01:05We are looking for players who will have a strong impact on basketball and fans.

01:14Those are the major criteria that we are looking for.

01:25Marshall also expected that the discussion of the previous Selection Committee will be tight

01:30and it is now up to the players to choose who should be included in the list.

01:36We will have three to four meetings.

01:40The hard part is that in the last two or three slots,

01:49there will be a lot of discussions about who should be included in the list.

02:00But we hope that we will be able to give all the bats.

02:07The so-called Selection Committee is made up of former Commissioners Sunny Barrios,

02:11PBA legends Ramon Fernandez, Alan Kaidik, and Atoy Koh,

02:15along with champion coach Dante Silverio,

02:18and media members Kenito Henson, Ding Marcelo, Andy Howe,

02:23and Philippine Sports Writers Association President Nelson Beltran.
