00:24She was scammed of P100,000 by an acquaintance of a hospital in Manila.

00:30In the victim's story, her husband was discharged yesterday

00:35and was confined in the hospital last month after a heart attack.

00:39But because they still have a lot to pay for the professional fee of the two doctors,

00:44they tried to talk to her.

00:46Until she received a call and was told that she will be given a discount on the professional fee

00:51for the two doctors.

00:53Their transaction was online.

00:55She introduced me to Mariela M. Delacruz.

01:00She's a manager and an officer.

01:02She's a doctor, my husband's.

01:05They know each other, the doctor, what kind of doctor he is.

01:10That's why we believed that we will get a discount.

01:13They sent it to us.

01:14The victims believed it quickly because one of the doctors had their account number

01:19and they transferred the money.

01:21But when one of the hospital's nurses called the doctor,

01:25they found out that the victim was talking to a scammer.

01:29They went to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Division to trace the scammer.

01:34The victim's problem now is how to get the money to get her husband discharged.

01:39Their balance is still more than half a million pesos

01:44and it will be added while they are staying in the hospital.

01:48The hospital is not receiving a guarantee letter right now

01:52and they don't have collateral to make a promissory note.
