00:00From Charlotte, third-year pro Mark Williams, who was a first-round pick back in 2022,
00:0615th overall out of Duke. Joe, as you alluded to, the Lakers gave up a ton. They trade away
00:13this year's first-round selection, who was having an outstanding rookie season in Dalton Connect,
00:18a 2031 first-round pick, and Cam Rhenish back to Charlotte. But we knew the priority for L.A.
00:26was a big man, a versatile, athletic big man. And they get that in Mark Williams. Future very bright
00:34in Los Angeles. I would say the only downside to Williams, at least at this stage of his three-year
00:40NBA career, he hasn't truly been all that healthy. Only 85 games played over the span of his first
00:47three years in the league. Just 23 this season as well. Yeah, I mean, listen, they had to
00:55make the move. You go out, you get a seven-foot-two center young. But you did have to give up another,
01:02you know, potential superstar there in Dalton Connect, who has certainly shown flashes this
01:07year, Ben, of what he can be a superstar in this league. Cam Rhenish and the draft picks
01:14in a couple of years as well. But he's exactly the kind of the lob-catching, rim-protecting
01:21center that Donchick has absolutely loved in Dallas. He'll love him here, provided, like you
01:29had said, though, you're going to stay healthy enough in order to be able to make a difference.
01:33If they are, that's a good fit for the Lakers. You got to give them credit. They are making
01:40a push here to try and do everything they can this year and maybe give LeBron an opportunity
01:46to ride off into the sunset with another championship over the next couple of seasons.
