00:00It's been going a long, long time, this whole thing with the third runners, I've got three
00:05things to say. One, you're wasting our money, taxpayers' money. These people who are involved
00:11in this project, they should be sacked immediately from like today because they haven't resolved
00:16how many years it's been going. I've been hearing it for like, I don't know, donkeys
00:20years, decades probably. Second is obviously, you know, on one hand, people have a good
00:26right to kind of protect their land and so on. On the other hand, the economy is important
00:30as well. And so you can't have a cake and eat it at the same time. So it's a bit of
00:36a problem for everybody. But I think the key issue is wrong people in charge of this project.
00:43Wasting our time, wasting our resources and not getting anywhere. So I don't know. That's
00:49my advice. Sack those people, get somebody new from a professional, professionals basically.
00:55Get professionals, yeah. And again, you know, clarify the whole thing. Give those people
00:59in the village a lot of money. I'm sure they'll move. You know, I've got enough money. Then,
01:04you know, you get somewhere and then everybody's happy. There's always a resolution, but usually
01:09it's to do with communication, how they communicate those ideas to them and, you know, money.
01:16So already probably wasted enough money. They could give that money that they wasted on
01:20this whole project. And that would be resolved a long time ago. And we have a better airport.
01:25You know, we need a third runway. I'm really, I travel a bit. Yeah. But, you know, obviously
01:30environment is important. All those things are important, can be organised.
01:34Following the Chancellor's speech approving the third runway for Heathrow Airport, Ed
01:39Miliband, the Energy Secretary, said an expansion of Heathrow Airport would only take place
01:46if it was within climate targets.
01:48Experts are clear the savings from the government's clean power action plan will be wiped out
01:54by 2050 if airport expansion at Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton goes ahead. And relying
02:00on so-called sustainable aviation fuels would use up to half of the UK's agricultural land.
02:06So does the Secretary of State agree with the scientists that whilst ambitious clean
02:10power plans are hugely welcome, if his government also backs airport expansion, it's not going
02:15to meet its climate obligations?
02:17What I would say to the Honourable Lady is that any aviation expansion, this is the point
02:21the Chancellor made last week, has to take place within carbon budgets and within environmental
02:26limits.
02:27Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has been exceptionally critical of the plans, suggesting the Chancellor
02:34should scrap air passenger duty rather than quote-unquote waffle about the Heathrow expansion,
02:41which he does not believe would happen before the 2040s.
